Archive

Hi. Archiving cases just 40 minutes after they are closed is too soon. Wait a couple of days at least. -- Tegel (Talk) 16:44, 16 July 2018 (UTC)

What did I say about archiving after a short time? -- Tegel (Talk) 19:05, 16 July 2018 (UTC)
now at the request it says to be already marked as done. Why I should wait a lot time? Web Source Self-Management System (talk) 05:40, 17 July 2018 (UTC)

Glad to see I'm not a vandal - just trying to make the examples somewhat clearer. Happy continuations, Micheletb (talk) 09:54, 27 July 2018 (UTC)

Don't edit war with a vandal

Hi, just a reminder that it's not nice to see someone edit warring with a vandal, at least not on user talk pages. I know many users do it, but just wanted to let you know that without your reverts there would have been possibly only one new talk page message to the user, after reverting and reverting the user got many more talk page messages, it's quite dispruptive if email notifications are turned on. Usually if you don't have rights to block/lock vandals it's better to wait until admin/steward stops user. Stryn (talk) 19:25, 30 July 2018 (UTC)

@Stryn: I understood. Web SourceContent Management System 19:27, 30 July 2018 (UTC)

re removing complaints on my user talk page

Please do not remove complaints on my talk page. In fact, you should not be removing anything that approaches legitimate comment from another user's talk page, that is overstepping boundaries. Users, especially users with advanced rights, should not be not immune from complaint and criticism, whether we like it, feel it is warranted, or whatever. Thanks.  — billinghurst sDrewth 11:20, 6 August 2018 (UTC)

Not vandalism

Things like Special:AbuseFilter/examine/log/437355 are not vandalism. Please only look to mark clear vandalism, and clearly outside Meta:scope rather than things that you don't like.  — billinghurst sDrewth 09:42, 9 August 2018 (UTC)

Timeless Newsletter • Issue 2

The second issue of the Timeless newsletter is out.

The news: Themes are coming to Timeless! Your infobox and navbox templates in particular are probably going to look absolutely horrible in the new built-in night mode.

For more information, background, plans and progress updates, please see the full issue on Meta, complete with a ridiculous list of phabricator task links, gratuitous mention of other skins, and me complaining about the current state of MediaWiki skinning in general.

Do not edit war with vandals

Hi:

Edit war with vandals on user talk pages may be disturbing, as the user could get tons of web and emails notifications. It is best to just report they and wait for someone who can clean the mess. As of me, I stopped reverting they when I noticed they wouldn't stop. Regards, Esteban16 (talk) 02:06, 3 September 2018 (UTC)

Wow! I just to say to revert contribs made by LTA. I was able to defend User talk pages from one vandal known, because the user (User:Гиляна Эренджепова) has advanced ability to rapidly make blatant vandalism on Wiki-project pages, and not only user talk namespace. Thanks! with regards, Web SourceContent Management System 02:22, 3 September 2018 (UTC)
Seriously. Listen to Esteban's advice. Reverting a non-blocked currently active vandal only gives him the opportunity to make yet another vandalistic edit by reverting you. --MF-W 22:23, 3 September 2018 (UTC)
