Abstract (in about 300 words)

At first I want to start about Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees (BoT) and its role and why the community should care. The Board started discussions about things like Transparency and Communication, Strategy / WMF identity, Movement Affiliations, Finance, Human Resources, Board composition during Wikimania (see WMF Board discussions). The goal of this session is to continue the discussions and engage more people, as the BoT or WMF cannot resolve these issues on their own. Especially topics like:

  • Transparency and Communication
  • Strategy / WMF identity
  • Movement Affiliations

Note: I would need up to 30 minutes for the presentation, 60 minutes for discussions / Q&A

  8. Thanks to Nataliia for visiting India to speak. India should be a leading light of the Wikimedia movement and yes, India should have bigger influence on the direction of the Wikimedia movement than any other country. Blue Rasberry (talk) 14:23, 20 July 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]
