Volunteering
[edit]To make Wikimania 2016 a reality, we are looking for around 50 people from in and around Metro Manila—and even the entire Philippines—to help us run the conference, which will include facilitators, greeters, receptionists, photographers and the like. We intend to open the call for volunteers as soon as possible after securing the bid, so stay tuned!
In addition, we will also welcome volunteers to help us spread the word online, so let us know (either by email or on our respective talk pages) if you'd like to volunteer when signing above.
Letters of support
[edit]The core bid team has managed to obtain the support of the following organizations:
-
Letter of support from the Tourism Promotions Board
-
Letter of support from Python Philippines
-
Letter of support from Mensa Philippines
In addition to the letters above, the bid team has also managed to secure letters of support from the following organizations, although as the letters mention Wikimedia Philippines (which has yet to offer its support to the bid), these letters will not be uploaded until such time that chapter support has been secured. However, the team will graciously send copies of those letters upon request.
