Digitization[edit]

Popular medical encyclopedia[edit]

Popular Medical Encyclopedia cover

Popular medical encyclopedia is an Armenian encyclopedia published by Armenian Encyclopedia publishing house, which also was released under CC 3.0. WM AM volunteer team digitized Popular medical encyclopedia in August. Digitization started on 5th August and finished in the end of the month. Digitized book was put on Commons and index was made on Armenian Wikisource.

Wiki Camp[edit]

Wiki Camp preparation workshops[edit]

The preparations of the second wiki camp were mainly the same as in the first camp (see first camp preparations). The main difference was workshops for non-editors before the camp. As the first camp was a great success and the number of non-editing participants for the second one grew we decided to organize workshops for them and choose those participants who showed wiki editing skills. During the workshops the candidates registered in Armenian Wikipedia, learned the basic editing tools and tried to write at least one article. As the majority of the participants registered in workshops, the number of the newly registered users during the camp is low.

Wiki Camp II shift[edit]

Second Wiki Camp was organized 12-26 August. The schedule of the second wiki camp was mainly the same as the first one (see Grant report page for the schedule and further information). The tours were made to Lori fortress, Sochut dendropark, Stepan Shahumyans house museum, Stepanavan city instead of Odzun, Sanahin, Haghpat and Akhtala monastery complexes. And the honorable guest of second wiki camp was ABBYY vice-president & AYB high school manager Aram Pakhchanyan.

Wikimedia Education Newsletter and Blog[edit]

Wikicup[edit]

Armenian Wikicup

Wikimedia Armenia created Wikicup, which is devoted to Armenian Wikipedia and is given to the user, who creates the victorious article. It is the article, which raises the position of Armenian Wikipedia in international chart. It was first given to Edmond Khachatryan on 14th August 2014 in Vanadzor during the Wiki Camp. He wrote the 127 670th article, by which Armenian Wikipedia went one level up in the statistics of Wikipedias.

International involvement[edit]
