Wikimedia CH Grants è un sistema di sovvenzioni destinate ai membri della comunità Wikimedia - individui, gruppi o organizzazioni - che contribuiscono a progetti Wikimedia (come Wikipedia o Commons) attraverso l'organizzazione di eventi o altre attività durante l'anno.

Tipologie di grant[edit]

I candidati possono essere:

  • organizzazioni: entità (istituzioni, associazioni) composte da una o più persone e dotate di riconoscimento legale. Le organizzazioni devono firmare un accordo o un memorandum d'intesa con Wikimedia CH per ricevere il project grant.
  • gruppi: entità composte da una o più persone prive di riconoscimento legale (es. un gruppo di utenti Wikimedia). I gruppi devono firmare un accordo o un memorandum d'intesa con Wikimedia CH per ricevere il project grant.
  • individui: persone singole.

Linee guida e criteri[edit]

Criteri di ammissibilità[edit]

  • Qualsiasi individuo, gruppo o organizzazione può ricevere un grant alla volta. Una sovvenzione aggiuntiva può essere richiesta non appena la precedente è stata chiusa e registrata.
  • L'importo minimo per un grant è di 1'001 CHF (o l'equivalente in un'altra valuta al momento della domanda). Per sovvenzioni inferiori, si prega di fare domanda tramite la procedura dei microgrants.
  • I grants possono coprire progetti della durata massima di 12 mesi. Non c'è una durata minima per un progetto sostenuto dai grants di WMCH.
  • Tutto ciò che viene finanziato attraverso la sovvenzione deve avere un chiaro collegamento tematico alla sovvenzione stessa. Le spese operative ricorrenti (ad esempio affitti o stipendi) non sono ammissibili per il finanziamento.
  • I fondi sono destinati e limitati a ciò che è descritto nella sovvenzione. Un risarcimento per il tempo investito da una persona è ipotizzabile solo in un numero limitato di casi (come il coordinamento delle attività relative alla sovvenzione, l'organizzazione di workshop e tutoring, o la sistemazione di nuove pagine dopo un workshop).
  • Attività o spese già effettuate al momento della domanda non sono ammissibili al finanziamento.

Criteri di selezione[edit]

La selezione delle candidature avviene tenendo in considerazione i seguenti criteri:

  1. Priorità strategica: l'attività proposta migliora uno o più progetti portati avanti da Wikimedia CH, o si lega ad uno dei programmi di Wikimedia CH (Educazione, GLAM, Comunità, Outreach, Innovazione)?
  2. Risultati e impatto potenziali: quali risultati concreti si perseguono attraverso lo svolgimento dell'attività proposta? Che impatto positivo ci si aspetta di ottenere?
  3. Contributi passati: il/la candidato/a è già stato/a coinvolto/a in progetti o comunità Wikimedia in passato?
  4. Sostegno: è stato previsto il coinvolgimento di un numero di volontari sufficiente per portare a termine il progetto proposto, e l'attività ha ricevuto l'appoggio della comunità Wikimedia?

Funding guidelines[edit]

Compensation for grantees or others[edit]

Travel and accomodation[edit]

  • To respect the principle of environmental protection Wikimedia CH in general doesn't fund travels more than 2'000 KM of distance or requiring more than 2 hours of flight. Exceptionally this kind of travels are included in scholarships program.
  • To follow the same principle, Wikimedia CH in general doesn't fund travel by car except when this travel is done by a group of people and for a distance lesser than 500 Km.
  • For costs not included in these guidelines, the main reference is the Wikimedia CH Wikimedia CH's General Reimbursement policy that will be provided to the applicant as soon the grant is approved
