Bengali Wikisource New Readers Awareness Campaign, 2018

West Bengal Wikimedians User Group has been working on increasing awareness of Bengali Wikisource. This includes creation of an awareness video as a part of the Inspire New Readers Campaign.

10 April, 2018 - Rapid Grant proposal approved.
15 April, 2018 - Initial conversation with production team.
4 May, 2018 - First draft of the script was discussed.
10 May, 2018 - Second draft of the script was discussed.
17 May, 2018 - Rapid Grant period extended to 30 September, 2018
2 August, 2018 - Final script reviewed and approved.
7 August, 2018 - Video shoot took place in Kolkata.
7 August, 2018 - Cheque of INR 100,000/- sent by CIS-A2K to the director of the video.
9 August, 2018 - INR 100,000/- received by the director of the video.
6 September, 2018 - First cut of full video submitted by production team.
18 September, 2018 - Final cut of full video submitted by production team.
27 September, 2018 - Necessary correction done and final cut of all 3 videos submitted by production team.
28 September, 2018 - Further correction done for all 3 videos.
28 September, 2018 - INR 10,000/- requested from CIS-A2K for promotion of the films.
30 September, 2018 - All 3 filmss were released in the Youtube channel of West Bengal Wikimedians User Group and uploaded to Commons.
30 September, 2018 - The films were premiered at Wikigraphists Bootcamp, New Delhi.

1 October, 2018 - Wikisource communities are being notified in scriptorium and mailing lists.
15 October, 2018 - File:মায়ের নজর.webm was the media of the day in Commons and featured in main page.
19 October, 2018 - Remaining INR 29,000/- received by the director of the films.
26 October, 2018 - INR 10,000/- received from CIS-A2K for promotion of the films.
30 October, 2018 - Rapid Grant report submitted.
1 November, 2018 - New Readers started promoting the films from Bengali Wikisource Facebook page for $50.00 each for 4 days in Facebooks for users from Bangladesh and West Bengal.
3 November, 2018 - The films were shown at GLAM Wiki Conference, Tel Aviv during State of the Wikisources panel discussion.
4 November, 2018 - After the promotion, মায়ের নজর received 95,996 views, whereas লে হালুয়া received 151,135 views.
15 November, 2018 - New Readers again promoted লে হালুয়া with shorter description for $150.00 and with longer description for $150.00 in Facebook users from Bangladesh.
19 November, 2018 - After the promotion, লে হালুয়া with shorter description received 323,067 and with longer description received 308,428 views.
23 November, 2018 - New Readers again promoted লে হালুয়া with longer description for $550.00 only in Facebook users from Bangladesh.
24 November, 2018 - The films were shown at Indic Wikisource Community Consultation 2018
30 November, 2018 - After the promotion, the video received 902,676 views.
16 February, 2019 - Wikimedia Foundation publishes Community Marketing Experiments - Impact Report
