Disadvantages of having strict policies

A disadvantage of having strict policy is editors often stop editing if they are scolded and pointed towards policy. In June-July 3 editors stopped editing for this reason. For small Wikipedias it is an issue.

Policies to be created

In previous meet-ups and during the Kannada Wikipedians meet-up on 21 June, User:Pavanaja made a list of policies which need to be created: Content policies

• Biography of living persons
  • Notability
  • Conflict of Interest
• Article title
• Image policy
  • Fair use policy (This will include maximum image size eg. 1000px*1000px limit)
  • Copyrighted images (similar to Fair use)
  • Kannada Wikipedians are discussing if this can be made a policy: images without EXIF data will be deleted
• Deletion policy
• Blocking policy
