Impact

[edit]

In the sections below, please describe how the project is related to the Wikimedia mission and Wikimedia's strategic priorities.

Fit to strategy

How will this project support the key organizational objectives of

  • participation (more people actually contributing),
  • quality (more content, more useful content, or higher-quality content),
  • credibility (more trust in our projects),
  • organizational maturity and effectiveness (how it will move you or the Wikimedia community forward),
  • or financial sustainability (how it will help you achieve more in the long run)?
This statement should address at least one of the strategic priorities listed here specifically. See WMF Grants Program criteria for decisionmaking.
this grant is intended to support all of this key objectives:
by thematic contests will be added new content and/or content of higher quality
by outreach (partly related to contests), speaks and seminars we hope to engage new editors (we have bad experiences about it so we change our approach)
by speaks, seminars, collaboration with experts institutions like GLAM (this point is in preparation) will increase trust in Wikimedia projects
by personal approach (during seminars and speaks - as contrary to unpersonal wiki page) and services to contributors (as reimbursement of travel expenses) will increase awareness to wiki projects and the feel "it is my project"
by financial basement in our organisation we will can easier run our projects, as we will not be limited by only our personal money to cover expenses
we want to apply for 2% of taxes (service for 3rd sector in Slovakia, similar to the one in Poland - people and organisations can donate part of its income taxes) which will help us to be financially more independent</span
