Online-Offline promotion of video production of Wikipedia social inclusion campaign
The project focused on promotion of professional video produced to promote social inclusion in the society.

9 out of 10 special people in Nigeria do not know how to edit Wikipedia. So, this project plan to showcase the produced video in three major special secondary schools in Nigeria and social media.

The project was initiated from the need to promote the inclusion of socially excluded group on Wikipedia.

1. What is your promotion plan?
You can do a campaign involving billboards or rickshaw announcements to promote a Wikimedia projects, such as Santali Wikipedia, at different places in a city. You can promote an online campaign such as Wiki Loves Monuments on Facebook, Twitter, etc using ads. You can also create gifs/slideshows or other easy to make multimedia files and use them to promote your project on social media.

I plan to organise an offline promotion of the video show video produced during the Wikipedia 20 in the ancient city of Ibadan ( Promoting Social Inclusion in the society) in selected special schools in Nigeria and also promote on social media.
I am also planning mini-training after each of the video show in each of the designated institutions.


2. How will you let your community know about the promotion campaign?

i have established contact with three major special schools in Lagos and Ibadan who have shown interest in participating in the campaign
I have informed the Wikimedia community in Nigeria knows about the video show as well.

3.Do you have any experience in promoting Wikimedia projects either online or offline?
Were you involved in a similar project in the past? Do you have any other experience related to online/offline promotion?

No, I have not involved in this type of project in the past. But, I have contacted T Cells and Kaizenfy and User:Olaniyan Olushola that have done similar project in the past, and they have all agreed to support this initiative.


4. What is your post-promotion plan?
What do you plan to do after your campaign ends?

Showcase the video in three identified special institutions in Lagos and Ibadan for people with special needs
Organise a mini training on how to contribute to Wikipedia at the institution mentioned above.
Promote the video on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram .
