1.I endorse the proposal to host a campaign at the Hyderabad Book Fair, which is a prominent event for the literacy community from Telangana region. The strategies outlined in the proposal are well-aligned with our goal of attracting more volunteers to Wikipedia and its various projects majorly like Commons and Wikidata

2.Introducing Wikipedia to the public through interesting topics such as movies and politics is an excellent strategy to engage stall visitors and spark their interest. The budget allocated for this event is optimal and I hope that it will be utilized effectively.

3.I like the planned continuation of a training program after the book fair. This ensures that new volunteers remain engaged and motivated, building upon the momentum generated during the event. Our previous outreach efforts have focused primarily on promoting Wikipedia rather than enrolling new contributors, and I belive that this event presents an opportunity to address that balance.

4.Given the nature of the book fair, with like-minded visitors passionate about literature, I strongly believe that there will be significant improvements and contributions to popular domains such as settlement history, writers, and books.

5.Yes , with the support of experienced volunteers from the Telugu Wiki usergroup and community,and garnt applicant who has proven track record of conducting successful outreach events, I am confident that this campaign will deliver on all its stated objectives.

 Support ఈ ప్రతిపాదనకు నా పూర్తి మద్దతు తెలుపుతున్నాను. తెలుగు వికీపీడియాలో కొత్త వాడుకరుల చేరిక ప్రధాన లక్ష్యంగా ప్రతిపాదించిన ఈ ఔట్‌రీచ్ కార్యక్రమం చాలా అవసరం. ఇందులో తెవికీ గురించి అవగాహన లేని, ఉన్నా ఎక్కడ మొదలుపెట్టాలో తెలియని వారికి అక్కడికక్కడే సహాయపడే వీలు ఉంటుంది. దీనికి హైదరాబాదు పుస్తకప్రదర్శనను ఎంచుకోవడం మంచి ఆలోచన. వచ్చేవారు పుస్తకప్రియులు, భాషాప్రియులు అవ్వడం వల్ల వారు తెవికీలో ఆసక్తి కనబర్చే అవకాశం ఎక్కువ.

The Telugu Wikimedia community has been organizing the Wikipedia Stall at the Hyderabad Book Fair for almost 10 years with support from various departments in the Government of Telangana. The community has successfully sustained its efforts and is now trying to expand its objectives and tactics based on its vast experience. Having achieved remarkable outcomes with limited resources, it would be great to see further expansion with resources from WMF. I believe this is a worthy investment and hope it will be expanded further.

Note on grant funding amount

In your award letter/email, you may observe that the USD equivalent may be different from that floating exchange rate on Oanda. This is because (at the moment) we apply a pre-determined exchange rate for each grant as determined by the WMF Finance team. That said, I've published on meta the approved amount in your local currency and we can use that as a common reference point.

We know even the best thought through plans may change.

In the event that there are changes to your implementation schedule, you can reach out to request for a grant extension (i.e. extend end date).
