Pamputt[edit]

Hi, I request the right to be able to flag content to translate. Actually, I am part of the IEG "Wikiproject Siriono" and with the grantee of this IEG, we decided to translate all the content into Spanish and French. As the content may evolve quickly, I would like to be able to translate directly the new content without waiting that a translation admin tags the new content. In addition, I am already translator admin on Wikidata so I have some experience about the translation system. Pamputt (talk) 00:30, 17 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. Could you confirm that you have read the documentation pages: mw:Help:Extension:Translate/Page translation example and mw:Help:Extension:Translate/Page translation administration? Could you also provide an example of a page you have tagged for translation, please? --Base (talk) 01:02, 17 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Here is diff where I tagged my first content on Wikidata. And, yes I read both pages you mention. Pamputt (talk) 06:24, 17 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, thank you for the answer. Could you compare the diff with mw:Help:Extension:Translate/Page translation administration please and say what was done not per the doc page there? --Base (talk) 20:43, 18 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, sorry but I did not understand your request. What I am supposed to do with mw:Help:Extension:Translate/Page translation administration? Which diff? Pamputt (talk) 22:12, 18 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for not being clear enough. The diff you have given. There are several things done not per the documentation page. It would be good if you find them yourself :) --Base (talk) 22:16, 18 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, well. Basically, I think the biggest mistake was to add <!--T:5--> and others manually. It is done automatically by the software. Pamputt (talk) 12:06, 21 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Erm, actually I see no such added in the diff. But you are right adding the unit markers manually is bad. Concerning the diff what is wrong is section headings and lists tagging. Could you confirm that you understand what I am talking about? --Base (talk) 19:21, 4 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed, I did not consider the same diff... From your comment, I agree, we must include the "wiki code" inside the "translate" tag. It means we have to include the == and the * for example. Pamputt (talk) 20:13, 4 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Will you only tag pages related to your grant, or will you tag other pages too? I would support this request in either case. PiRSquared17 (talk) 15:24, 18 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Basically, I initially require the translation admin right for my project because I will spent most of my time on it (on Meta). But if I found other pages to translate, I could also tag them. Pamputt (talk) 20:40, 18 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
