Meta talk:AddMe

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Thank you for this tool! I've repurposed it for the Developer Wishlist and it works great. --Tgr (WMF) (talk) 10:38, 8 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

this looks helpful[edit]

this gadget looks very helpful. can this be fully made avabilable for use at English Wikipedia? let me know. @Tgr (WMF), anyone else, feel free to advise. thanks! Sm8900 (talk) 17:07, 10 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It can, it does require some work from an interface admin though. Tgr (WMF) (talk) 17:03, 15 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Broken[edit]

When trying to vote on Community Wishlist Survey 2023/Admins and patrollers, a popup appears saying "There was an error with the AddMe gadget: Unable to parse the configuration page Meta talk:AddMe. There may have been a recent change that contains invalid JSON. Please report this issue at Meta talk:AddMe." Ciencia Al Poder (talk) 18:33, 10 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

same behavior on page https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Community_Wishlist_Survey_2023/Bots_and_gadgets Svetlov Artem (talk) 18:50, 10 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Ciencia Al Poder and Svetlov Artem:, could you try again? — TheresNoTime-WMF (talk • they/them) 19:46, 10 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Meta Talk:Addme[edit]

This warning appeared in the voting system. Could you help? Ekrembjk09 (talk) 19:26, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Ekrembjk09, could you temporarily try changing your interface language to English and trying again? I believe this is the same issue as reported above — TheresNoTime-WMF (talk • they/them) 11:21, 13 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Vector 2022 table of contents not updated[edit]

A category page was open for longer time, and Community Tech bot shuffled it in the meantime. After casting my vote, the content area was updated, but the off-content-area table of contents of Vector 2022 wasn’t, so the order became different. Could the table of contents be updated as well? You may want to consult with the Editing team; as far as I remember, they also had similar issues during the DiscussionTools development. —Tacsipacsi (talk) 11:13, 13 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for letting us know @Tacsipacsi — I'm not personally familiar with the Vector 2022 off-content-area TOC, but will try to raise this with the most appropriate member of the team. You wouldn't happen to know of a phabricator task/discussion from where the Editing team experienced a similar issue, would you? — TheresNoTime-WMF (talk • they/them) 11:23, 13 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@TheresNoTime-WMF: I found phab:rEDTOf4a9d5b8f92606917c667b6bcfce7ac7306a9a24, which seems to address this issue. —Tacsipacsi (talk) 14:12, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Fixed with 5eb8f56c. Thank you for reporting this issue!
In case you wondering, this new version of AddMe is going to replace the old one. So even though the Survey is now over, it is still an important and much needed bug fix! Thanks again, MusikAnimal (WMF) (talk) 21:08, 24 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Error in spanish[edit]

Voting on Community Wishlist Survey 2023/Editing/Avoid editing conflicts with Spanish as your user interface language produces an error. Lectrician1 (talk) 00:22, 20 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Lectrician1 This should be fixed now. Let me know if you have any more problems. Apologies for the inconvenience! MusikAnimal (WMF) (talk) 01:17, 24 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Error[edit]

On "Community Wishlist Survey 2023/Larger suggestions/Wikipedia in English" I get "There was an error with the AddMe gadget: Unable to parse the configuration page Meta talk:AddMe. There may have been a recent change that contains invalid JSON. Please report this issue at Meta talk:AddMe." error. What has to be fixed? --Base (talk) 12:32, 22 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
