Disarmament crisis of March 2003[edit]

This isn't encyclopedic on any Wikipedia. 62.65.125.155 17:37, 14 Apr 2005 (UTC)

  • Delete strange and random rant. ugen64 04:23, 26 Apr 2005 (UTC)
  • Keep strange and random rant. We could use a few more random, poetic rants around here, to compensate for all the non-random, obsessive and angry ones. If the correlaries between that essay and editing on WP makes no sense to you, be calmed by the fact that it does make sense to others, and enlightens their editing days somewhat, and provides them with thoughts for abiding peacefully in a chaotic wiki world. +sj | Translate the Quarto | + 07:21, 12 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Meta is not an encyclopedia. This place is not a encyclopedic space. And rules of wikipedia do not belong here. And this is a parody of disarmement crisis in Iraq. Such parodies are authorized on meta. If you consider it should be deleted, please deleted absolutely ALL parodies and ALL funny pages on meta and ALL crappy pages "wikipedians having a beard or wearing pink shoes". Or rather than deleting them, please move them all to personal pages and let's consider meta is only a temple for bureaucratic and unfun stuff. There is something you are just missing here... when people share a public area (such as wikipedia encyclopedic space), it is important to allow them to have a couple of semi-private areas where they can rant a little bit. If rules change, I will list on the deletion list a HUGE number of pages and meta will probably be divided by half. Time to save my stuff in another place where people have a bit of humour I guess. user:anthere
  • Comment: curerntly abstein. I found this palody tagged speedy and replaced the tag to rfd (though I didn't list it here). I agree humors are forming a proper part of Meta, but honestly I can't figure how your humor is related to the project. If I understand corerctly, humors accepted on meta are related to the community and project. (Here another humor page came to me: Caption Jimbo). So I would like you, Ant, to let us know in what point your satire related to a project (e.g. a typical Wikiholic woman's figure), it will make other editors understand how things go on emta[sic].--Aphaia | Translate Election | ++ 16:34, 26 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Okay. I'll move all the pages I basically authored in my user space. Hopefully, I will be asked opinion before deletion. Anthere
Right, I moved some of my stuff to my personal space. Please keep the links as those pages were quite heavily linked in other projects. As I said, this page was written when it became impossible for a french person to work on the english wikipedia in the months following the 9/11 events, due to the very severe anti french sentiment over there. It was written as a reaction to this totally ugly behavior some editors had over there and heavily link to articles written on these topics; And it was written here because at that time, it was not only tolerated, but I would go further in saying that most english rants written on the english wikipedia were moved there. It seems that this time is over. ant
    • Keep (or Redirect): I think the reason the above is sufficient to keep it here as both humor and historical record. I prefer those explanations on its talk as enlightment for newbies like me who came after those severe days. --Aphaia | Translate Election | ++ 23:34, 29 Apr 2005 (UTC)
