Hi Carliitaeliza,

yes, that notification was only meant for Arabic translators and reached you by mistake, sorry! For that reason, I blocked translations into languages other than Arabic. If someone is really interested in doing such a translation, they can say so on the talk page and I will reenable that language, but I wanted to avoid the misunderstanding that that was the intention of the request.

You can check here for other current requests for translations into Spanish that are more urgent (I added that link to the error message you saw). Thanks for your help!

Editor profiles on the Foundation wiki[edit]

Hi Carliitaeliza, regarding your question here:

The editor profile you mentioned [5] was created by the Wikimedia Fundraising team. They interview users who are interested in talking about what Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects mean for them, and some of those profiles are featured in the donation banners in the Wikipedia fundraiser. If you are interested in being interviewed, email my colleague Victor Grigas (vgrigaswikimedia.org) - he would love to hear from you.
Wikimediafoundation.org is not freely editable by the public; accounts there are handed out on an as-needed basis, i.e. you should describe what kind of edits you plan to make there when requesting an account.
