Please be bold and help translate this article! Luís Gonzaga Pinto da Gama (Salvador, June 21, 1830 – São Paulo, August 24, 1882) was a Brazilian Rábula (self-taught lawyer), abolitionist, orator, journalist and writer, and the Patron of the Abolition of Slavery in Brazil. Born to a free black mother and a white father, he was nevertheless made a slave at the age of 10, and remained illiterate until the age of 17. He judicially won his own freedom and began to work as a lawyer on behalf of the captives, and by the age of 29 he was already an established author and considered "the greatest abolitionist in Brazil". Please be bold and help translate this article! Christmas tree production occurs worldwide on Christmas tree farms, in artificial tree factories and from native strands of pine and fir trees. Christmas trees, pine and fir trees purposely grown for use as a Christmas tree, are grown on plantations in many western nations, including Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States. In Australia, the industry is relatively new, and nations such as the United States, Germany and Canada are among world leaders in annual production. Great Britain consumes about 8 million trees annually, while in the United States between 35 and 40 million trees are sold during the Christmas season. Artificial Christmas trees are mostly produced in the Pearl River delta area of China. Christmas tree prices were described using a Hotelling-Faustmann model in 2001, the study showed that Christmas tree pr (Please update the interwiki links on Wikidata of your language version of the article after each week's translation is finished so that all languages are linked to each other.) How we will see unregistered users
Hi!
You get this message because you are an admin on a Wikimedia wiki.
When someone edits a Wikimedia wiki without being logged in today, we show their IP address. As you may already know, we will not be able to do this in the future. This is a decision by the Wikimedia Foundation Legal department, because norms and regulations for privacy online have changed.
Instead of the IP we will show a masked identity. You as an admin will still be able to access the IP. There will also be a new user right for those who need to see the full IPs of unregistered users to fight vandalism, harassment and spam without being admins. Patrollers will also see part of the IP even without this user right. We are also working on better tools to help.
If you have not seen it before, you can read more on Meta. If you want to make sure you don’t miss technical changes on the Wikimedia wikis, you can subscribe to the weekly technical newsletter.
We have two suggested ways this identity could work. We would appreciate your feedback on which way you think would work best for you and your wiki, now and in the future. You can let us know on the talk page. You can write in your language. The suggestions were posted in October and we will decide after 17 January.
Thank you. /Johan (WMF)

Denniss
Have you seen the name behind Denniss, a previous account that was used had died in 2011, similar to a deceased user Patrick Rogel. --Scram6699 (talk) 00:19, 8 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Scram6699: User is still editing so I'm not sure what you're referring to. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 01:18, 8 January 2022 (UTC)
- I can explain, Harald Schultz died in 2010 while using his account under Denniss, but his last words were in German; "Ich werde Dich nie vergessen, Dein Tod war viel zu früh!" in English, "I will never forget you, your death was far too early!" Since it was never happened. Scram6699 (talk) 01:39, 8 January 2022 (UTC)
- I still have no idea what you're talking about. Please contact a steward for assistance. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 02:13, 8 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Minorax: His real name is Dennis Schultz (a.k.a. Denniss), the one who is living, no need to block him. Alongside with this father and last words, who died 12 years ago. Scram6699 (talk) 07:53, 8 January 2022 (UTC)

Fix two SVGs
Hello!
I've seen you on Commons so I figured you'd be the best to ask. I found File:Wv 1.svg and File:Wv 1.svg which didn't render and the software didn't even think that they were SVGs. I tried fixing them through c:User:Rillke/SVGedit.js but I couldn't save because this wiki requires you to be an uploader or admin to do that. Maybe you who are an admin can fix them?Jonteemil (talk) 20:55, 9 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Jonteemil: Hello. I've changed my computer and I no longer have any software to edit and upload SVGs. You might want to ask at RFH to request for the uploader user right. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 00:55, 10 January 2022 (UTC)
Wikipedia translation of the week: 2022-02
The winner this Translation of the week is
Please be bold and help translate this article! The Lobster War (also known as the Lobster Operation; Portuguese: Guerra da Lagosta; French: Conflit de la langouste) was a dispute over spiny lobsters which occurred from 1961 to 1963 between Brazil and France. The Brazilian government refused to allow French fishing vessels to catch spiny lobsters 100 miles (160 km) off the Brazilian northeast coast, arguing that lobsters "crawl along the continental shelf", while the French maintained that "lobsters swim" and that, therefore, they might be caught by any fishing vessel from any country. The dispute was resolved unilaterally by Brazil, which extended its territorial waters to a 200-nautical-mile (370 km; 230 mi) zone, taking in the disputed lobsters' bed. SWViewer - Filter by language/script
Hey, Minorax! Found your name while reading the SWViewer related pages.
Although I've already checked the options, is there a way to filter the wikis you get edits from in the queue by language or script? If not, is there a reason why something like this was never implemented? I mean, was that deliberate as far as you're informed? - Klein Muçi (talk) 04:06, 22 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Klein Muçi: I don't think so. However, you can create a preset, add in wikis and load it from there. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 06:04, 22 January 2022 (UTC)
- How exactly would I be able to do that? - Klein Muçi (talk) 13:09, 22 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Klein Muçi: Click on the down arrow beside "Default" at the top left corner. Click "Create". Go to "Custom wikis" and add the wikis you want to patrol. (langcodewiki for Wikipedias, langcodewiktionary for Wiktionaries, langcodewikivoyage for Wikivoyages, wikidatawiki for Wikidata, commonswiki for Commons, etc.) Click "Save".
