The initial selection was made based on whether Cultural Heritage without Borders had contacts, or whether the country has a lot of cultural heritage in danger according to the World Monuments Fund World Monuments Watch list and the UNESCO World Heritage sites in danger list. We have added a couple other countries that seem to be great possibilities thanks to our extended network. We are using the following methodology to select which countries to focus on: Connected Open Heritage/Country selection criteria.
