Obfuscation?[edit]

I cannot find a Steward named -revi on Stewards#List_of_current_stewards. I see a Steward named revi but when I click on the link I find someone named REVI. I assume all three are alternate names for this user, but why the obfuscation? Was the minus sign added just to place this candidate at the top of the list?

It is hard enough to follow this election without having to go down this rabbit hole. Just my $.02. Ottawahitech (talk) 22:36, 8 February 2021 (UTC) @-revi: Ottawahitech (talk) 22:41, 8 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again Ottawahitech, this is an easy one to answer. Their username, technically speaking, is "-revi". Howver, they often go by "revi" as it's simpler and, on some platforms (like IRC), you can't have a -. The link you have is to the user "-revi", though the title of the page has had it's appearance changed to be "REVI" in a non-standard font and color. The - was not added to place this current steward (note: not candidate) at the top of the list, it's just part of revi's username. Best, Vermont (talk) 22:42, 8 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This doesn’t seem like an issue for anyone but you, so it appears that your complaint that it is difficult to follow isn’t something that needs to be addressed as everyone else doesn’t see the issue. TonyBallioni (talk) 23:02, 8 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Have you ever read my userpage in full? — regards, Revi 16:22, 9 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No? Ottawahitech (talk) 16:39, 9 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I explained the reasoning as for why I use 'revi' in my userpage. And, I did not set that template. I don't know why that's set up that way. — regards, Revi 16:41, 9 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you @REVI for answering my question, but I don't understand your answer: which template are you talking about? Ottawahitech (talk) 16:37, 10 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Btw being the first one "at the top of the list" is definitely not a big deal. --Vituzzu (talk) 17:26, 10 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I know WMC cabal is trying to save her. Whatever, that is none of my concern. — regards, Revi 11:46, 18 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
When you before saying this,please think clearly,why they support Sotiale,not you.--MCC214#ex umbra in solem 11:52, 18 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Again, this is going nowhere. I think there is nothing to discuss with you about this. Thanks, and bye! — regards, Revi 11:53, 18 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Reverse indent, but I must say his actions (cough, MCC214, cough) at that time was problematic enough to bend what WMF trust and safety, at 2018, initially expected to see at SRCU and created the zh:WP:HAM page just to filter. 1233 T / C 06:17, 11 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • If you think I have problem in SRCU,that is wrong, the fact is,stewards inaction and made backlog (You know,if not me,any zh.wiki User still to submit request to SRCU after talking in RFCUHAM,because they feel stewards can help them to resolve any problem in zh.wiki),in zh.wiki, some user usually said 'Not any stewards usually hard working in SRCU',and 'Only Sotiale is hard working and help zh.wiki community when Sotiale in stewards community',is it 1233 not see?--MCC214#ex umbra in solem 09:47, 11 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
