I cannot find a Steward named -revi on Stewards#List_of_current_stewards. I see a Steward named revi but when I click on the link I find someone named REVI. I assume all three are alternate names for this user, but why the obfuscation? Was the minus sign added just to place this candidate at the top of the list?

It is hard enough to follow this election without having to go down this rabbit hole. Just my $.02. Ottawahitech (talk) 22:36, 8 February 2021 (UTC) @-revi: Ottawahitech (talk) 22:41, 8 February 2021 (UTC)

Hi again Ottawahitech, this is an easy one to answer. Their username, technically speaking, is "-revi". Howver, they often go by "revi" as it's simpler and, on some platforms (like IRC), you can't have a -. The link you have is to the user "-revi", though the title of the page has had it's appearance changed to be "REVI" in a non-standard font and color. The - was not added to place this current steward (note: not candidate) at the top of the list, it's just part of revi's username. Best, Vermont (talk) 22:42, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
This doesn’t seem like an issue for anyone but you, so it appears that your complaint that it is difficult to follow isn’t something that needs to be addressed as everyone else doesn’t see the issue. TonyBallioni (talk) 23:02, 8 February 2021 (UTC)

Have you ever read my userpage in full? — regards, Revi 16:22, 9 February 2021 (UTC)
No? Ottawahitech (talk) 16:39, 9 February 2021 (UTC)
I explained the reasoning as for why I use 'revi' in my userpage. And, I did not set that template. I don't know why that's set up that way. — regards, Revi 16:41, 9 February 2021 (UTC)
Thank you @REVI for answering my question, but I don't understand your answer: which template are you talking about? Ottawahitech (talk) 16:37, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
Btw being the first one "at the top of the list" is definitely not a big deal. --Vituzzu (talk) 17:26, 10 February 2021 (UTC)

  • When you said she is racist,I think you have exist bias to her,so,I don't believe your judgment, also,I believe her,not you.--MCC214#ex umbra in solem 09:19, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
Uhm. I didn't ask if you trust her or me. I don't really care. If you trust me, good, but if you don't, also sure. I don't expect everyone to like me. Also: it was not directed at CCF. It was for Super Wang. — regards, Revi 09:24, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
Same,I believe Super Wang and any users, not you,if you need our community are good, please quit.--MCC214#ex umbra in solem 09:32, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
    Sorry, won't happen! — regards, Revi 09:33, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
Also, why would I lie? Data and numbers never lie, and they can always be independently verified. Let's say I lie. If I get caught for lying, I'd lose my Stewards access and face consequences. There's nothing I get for lying, and lose everything. — regards, Revi 09:33, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
But the fact is,many user believe her,not you,if you need cause community antimissile, that's fine. But I will remember your everything done. --MCC214#ex umbra in solem 09:42, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
Your belief does not change anything. But you are free to believe what you want to believe. I have no obligation to persuade you to believe the fact. — regards, Revi 09:46, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
You wait for me,I can let you bear responsibility via your speech, not not to report, time is not up,regardless you have how many power, network have how many wide, finally, you only choose quit.--MCC214#ex umbra in solem 09:52, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
(outdent) I think I have nothing more to say with you. Have a nice week. — regards, Revi 10:09, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
You revoked CCF global IP Block exemption, that's fine. But I will remember your everything done, also,I can hold you responsible for causing community backlash,I also want to tell you,CCF definitely won't be removed.--MCC214#ex umbra in solem 11:43, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
Yeah, I know WMC cabal is trying to save her. Whatever, that is none of my concern. — regards, Revi 11:46, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
When you before saying this, please think clearly, why they support Sotiale, not you.--MCC214#ex umbra in solem 11:52, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
Again, this is going nowhere. I think there is nothing to discuss with you about this. Thanks, and bye! — regards, Revi 11:53, 18 February 2021 (UTC)

Discussion for MCC214's comment[edit]

  • Sotiale need to help ours, but you can not, also,I know you were said this, you don't see admin Camouflaged Mirage said?--MCC214#ex umbra in solem 11:02, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
Just a note: My comments there are purely based on a perspective to de-escalate tensions, as I always did. In addition, I am just commenting there as a community member, and at that time I was not yet a meta sysop, and even if I am, I will not be wearing a meta sysop hat when commenting on these matters as I am clearly involved. In addition, what I said will only be considered by stewards, but cannot and will never override steward consensus. That's even if I am wearing my meta sysop hat. I hope you understand all decisions are decided by stewards, and only they have the sole authority to do so. Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 11:13, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
I keep my opinion, and I know Revi have many position, but I don't think all decisions are decided by stewards are correct, also,if Revi believe in the community, not the WMF,he don't ban me,unless Revi think I am not community members,if Revi want to be discrimination my language skills, that's fine. I will remember your decision.--MCC214#ex umbra in solem 11:20, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
I think this thing should contact other users.--MCC214#ex umbra in solem 15:17, 9 February 2021 (UTC)
If you want to appeal our decision, you can do so by emailing stewards(_AT_) Feel free to do it. — regards, Revi 15:47, 9 February 2021 (UTC)
I will remember your speech.--MCC214#ex umbra in solem 15:56, 9 February 2021 (UTC)
OK, bye! — regards, Revi 15:57, 9 February 2021 (UTC)
    Don't give it away.--MCC214#ex umbra in solem 16:01, 9 February 2021 (UTC)
@REVI: Is there no way to appeal Steward decisions on-wiki? Ottawahitech (talk) 16:51, 9 February 2021 (UTC)
Ottawahitech, depends on the decision. In this case, not exactly. And before you go assuming some wide-reaching steward conspiracy to...stop people from spamming steward request pages with bad requests, stewards have control of and a responsibility to maintain their steward request pages. Regarding the on-wiki part of your answer, often decisions involved private or otherwise not necessarily public information, so email is usually a better method of communication. There is no official on-wiki appeal method, though there is a stewards noticeboard. Vermont (talk) 14:36, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
@vermont: Why are you assuming that I will assume a conspiracy? Ottawahitech (talk) 15:46, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
A kind note to @Ottawahitech, please use the way I ping you to ping Vermont (Here I shown you two ways a ping will reach someone. Thanks. Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 17:02, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
@Camouflaged Mirage: I did not wish to ping Vermont, I just wanted to clarify to the readers that I was responding to Vermont. Discussions here seem to be more chaotic than I am used to, so I just wanted to make sure. Ottawahitech (talk) 17:41, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
@Ottawahitech I stand corrected then. There is still order here, people will know who is referring to who, don't worry. I didn't know you don't mean to ping, pardon me. Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 17:48, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
  • Ottawahitech, that was a bit of a joke, my apologies if it wasn't evident. Best, Vermont (talk) 17:49, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
Thanks @Vermont, I appreciate your explanation. I just was not sure, if your comment was aimed at me specifically or at someone else. One thing I have learned about communicating publicly in busy forums is how easy it is to attain notoriety. Ottawahitech (talk) 17:52, 11 February 2021 (UTC)

Reverse indent, but I must say his actions (cough, MCC214, cough) at that time was problematic enough to bend what WMF trust and safety, at 2018, initially expected to see at SRCU and created the zh:WP:HAM page just to filter. 1233 T / C 06:17, 11 February 2021 (UTC)

  • If you think I have problem in SRCU,that is wrong, the fact is,stewards inaction and made backlog (You know,if not me,any User still to submit request to SRCU after talking in RFCUHAM,because they feel stewards can help them to resolve any problem in,in,some user usually said 'Not any stewards usually hard working in SRCU',and 'Only Sotiale is hard working and help community when Sotiale in stewards community',is it 1233 not see?--MCC214#ex umbra in solem 09:47, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
    • No one is obliged to do anything in their voluntary capacity, and the amount of requests at that time are clearly out of what stewards expect. 1233 T / C 04:23, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
      • Please remember, this is their campaign promise when they candidate steward,if they feel oneself don't cash their campaign promise, they can disagree nominate, because you choose candidate in steward and elected, you should think you do steward is help community, not feel "It's none of your own".--MCC214#ex umbra in solem 07:14, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
        • The idea (and request) of fulfilling promises under a changed condition which is unexpected is already out of what normal people can do. They're not paid for this.--1233 T / C 15:47, 17 February 2021 (UTC)
