English Wikipedia[edit]
I have been contributing to English Wikipedia since 2014, and I consider it as my home Wikimedia project. Initially, I started off with creating articles of Indian military officers (three-star generals or higher equivalents) and various corps of the Indian Army. Later on, I shifted my focus on developing quality content, and created several good articles, A-class and featured articles/lists. I also spent a lot of time on article quality processes, and have reviewed more than 125 good article nominations as of May 2019. I was extensively involved with WikiProject Military History, and served as a project coordinator between 2017 and 2018. I facilitated the formation of "Indian military history working group" which later graduated from project's incubator, and was set up a full-fledged task force, Indian military history task force. After working on making Field marshal (India) a good topic, I am currently working on making Param Vir Chakra a good topic, which includes 21 recipients of India's highest military decoration, the designer, and the award's main article.
Wikimedia Commons[edit]
In the beginning, I only used and contributed to Wikimedia Commons for my needs on English Wikipedia. Later I got more involved in the project after organising a couple of Wiki Loves campaigns. I believe that not each and every photograph that is being uploaded should be of use on a Wikimedia project; the project has a scope to serve the greater purpose of hosting freely licensed media, usable by anyone (even outside Wikimedia), for any purpose. Having said that, I would expect a minimum amount of encyclopedic value that can find usage somewhere. After Wikigraphists Bootcamp, I have started contributing to vector graphics (currently intermediate skills), and have basic photography skills. Whenever I find the time, I try to help with requests at the Graphic Lab and keep vectorising the files listed at Category:Images that should use vector graphics.
Wikidata[edit]
I have been contributing to Wikidata since 2017, after attending a training event by Asaf Bartov. I used to generally update military related items, but only after attending the Advanced Wikidata Training, I am able to unleash the true potential of Wikidata, through tools such as OpenRefine, Tabernacle, and Query service. I use these to clean and import large datasets into Wikidata, such as the census. I started the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana portals under WikiProject India. I do some anti-vandal fighting every now and then, with the help of Vandalism Dasboard. Some of my projects are; Wikidata:IND/AP/2011 Census import (Mandal), Wikidata:IND/AP/2001 Census import (Mandal), Wikidata:IND/T/2011 Census import (Mandal).
