Global sysop

[edit]

Wikimedia project members have demonstrated a consensus to allow you access to the global sysop toolbox. Please use it wisely. -- Avi 20:00, 21 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks a lot --Hercule 20:22, 21 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Just saying... you've done a mass-delete before. What's your opinion on those? Should this be discussed (again)? Lousyi is pulling the same stunts on fj: ... Seb az86556 01:50, 5 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Nevermind. Resolved. Seb az86556 02:19, 5 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
I think these mass stub creation are stupid, ans maybe nocive. But as far as it contains few information on thé correct language it's out of scope for speedy deletion by global sysops.

Dellie

[edit]

[4] It seems that bot was blocked before... Could you delete other items and blank the page, please ? -- Quentinv57 23:05, 26 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Salut,
Cordialement,
--Hercule 23:16, 26 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
Merci -- Quentinv57 23:34, 26 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Non-sense reverts

[edit]

Hello Hercule,

You reverted my edits on my.wiktionary. Can you give me a reason for this ? These templates are highly used on my.wikt and it has cause a syntax error on most of the project pages I can't correct without reverting you.

Thank you for your help, I wish you a good evenin. -- Quentinv57 21:12, 10 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

--Hercule 21:43, 10 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

-- Quentinv57 (talk) 19:41, 25 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Merci de m'avoir prévenu. --Hercule 00:00, 26 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Automatic approval of interwiki bots

[edit]

Regarding this edit. Standard Bot policy has long allowed the granting of bot flags from Stewards for inter-wiki-only bots regardless of bcrat activity. Please direct me to the discussion that overturns this long-held consensus. --Daniel Mayer (mav) 18:40, 28 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

hello,
my edit summary is explicit : the Steward policy explicitly says that the Stewards must only act when there is no active bureaucrat or in case of emergency. I have never seen steward granted on wiki with local active bureaucrat. So I think that m'y edit is just a clarification, not an overturning of long-held consensus.
For this reason there is no previous discussion.
Regards,
-Hercule 11:25, 29 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
That is not my understanding of standard practice. I'll take this up with Stewards-l. --Daniel Mayer (mav) 03:46, 30 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
When it comes to interwiki bots, since these often run on many wikis, both with and without active 'crats, my understanding was always that this was an exception, in that the steward can flag the bot on all projects with the standard bot policy, even if there are local crats. This allows the bot to get up and running on all the local wikis quickly instead of it having to wait for the usually longer process on wikis with crats. I speak from my expereince as both a steward and a local 'crat on EnWikiP. -- Avi 04:22, 30 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Also, that is the point of the OPT IN by local wikis, in that they are specifically allowing stewards to act as local crats in this one instance. -- Avi 04:24, 30 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
This is correct, it is standard "policy" for global iw bots. fr33kman 05:59, 30 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Ok, it seem to be at least discussed before the text is change. Avraham has removed my text, there is no more problem. --Hercule 22:28, 1 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Suppression en masse des redirections cassées

[edit]

Bonjour Hercule,

--Hercule 22:29, 1 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Bonjour Hercule.

Fundraising translation feedback

[edit]

Hey Hercule,

I wanted to ask for your help. As you may be aware we have been running banners on many language wikis. We have a lot of new content this year and I really want to conduct a thorough review of our translations. This is a combination of feedback from the community, readers, donors as well as those with professional translator experience. This will help us ensure the highest quality of translations used in our messaging.

To help us out with this I wonder if you would be willing to give us feedback in french using This Link

Simply follow the simple instructions on that page and if you have any questions feel free to contact me on my talk page.

Many Thanks

Jseddon (WMF) (talk) 07:12, 26 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Global sysopship

[edit]

Hi Hercule, per the global sysops inactivity policy (not having used the rights for the last six months outside of wikis on which you have local rights), your global rights have been removed. You can always re-apply for them via the usual procedure. Kind regards, SPQRobin (talk) 23:19, 8 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Superprotect status

[edit]

Dear Hercule, since you are an administrator on a wiki from which no user participated in this discussion, I'd like to make sure you are aware of some recent events which may alter what the Wikimedia Foundation lets you do on your wiki: Superprotect.

Global bot

[edit]
This message is being left on your talk page at Meta-Wiki and those of your home wiki(s). Sorry for the duplicates.

Dear global bot operator: Some days ago you received a message in which you were informed that one or various accounts you hold lost a global bot flag because of inactivity. Due to a mistake, messages informing about this were not sent before removal took place as policy mandates. As such, if you think your bot will be active again on global bot duties, you can request the restoration of the global bot flag on the stewards' noticeboard at Meta-Wiki within the next two (2) weeks after this message has been posted. Please note that this removal was purely procedural based on inactivity. If you have any questions, you can reach me on my talk page at Meta-Wiki. Please accept my apologies in advance for this. Best regards. -- MediaWiki message delivery (talk) on behalf of MarcoAurelio at 18:11, 2 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Invitation for Functionary consultation 2021

[edit]

Greetings SWMT member,

I'm letting you know in advance about a meeting I'd like to invite you to regarding the Universal Code of Conduct and the community's ownership of its future enforcement. I'm still in the process of putting together the details, but I wanted to share the date with you: 10 July, 2021. I do not have a time on this date yet, but I will let you soon. We have created a meta page with basic information. Please take a look at the meta page and sign up your name under the appropriate section.

Thank you for your time.--BAnand (WMF) 03:21, 3 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
