根据联合国儿童基金会（UNICEF）的报道，世界上有超过一半的儿童遭受过严重暴力。据估计，这些儿童有64%位于南亚。在同一篇报道中，他们还表示，这不仅仅是对于受害者，而且还和任何目击暴力事件的人有关，解决暴力的最佳方法就是预防它。但值得注意的是，维基百科作为百科全书，其社群尚未主动引入虐待或忽视儿童的问题。因此，我们首次在孟加拉语维基百科和维基教科书上组织“维基爱儿童”（Wiki Loves Children）活动。孟加拉语维基教科书和其他语言版本的教科书一样，有着名为“维基儿童”的项目，但目前几乎没有活动。因此，我们将它囊括在此项目中，旨在丰富和扩大初级学生在线学习活动中对其的使用。特别是在新冠病毒（Covid-19）流行期间，它为在线学习发挥至关重要的作用，我们将努力使维基教科书（尤其是维基儿童）成为“儿童版”的维基百科替代品。 Yet, despite the global reach and educational influence of Wikipedia and its sister projects, there has been no coordinated initiative within the Wikimedia movement to raise awareness about child abuse and neglect. To address this gap, we are launching a new campaign — Wiki Loves Children — starting from Bengali Wikipedia and Bengali Wikibooks. This initiative will focus on creating and improving content related to child safety, rights, health, and development. A key part of the campaign is the revival of Wikijunior, the child-focused branch of Wikibooks, which has remained mostly inactive in Bengali. By breathing new life into Wikijunior, we aim to build a child-friendly, educational platform that supports online learning for children, especially in the post-Covid era where digital education is more critical than ever. While this project begins on Bengali Wikipedia and Wikibooks, our long-term vision is to expand Wiki Loves Children across other Wikimedia projects and into multiple languages, based on community interest and regional importance. Through collaboration, we hope to make Wikimedia a safer, more inclusive, and empowering space for younger audiences around the world. |
