Project Plan[edit]

Activities[edit]

Tell us how you'll carry out your project. What will you and other organizers spend your time doing?

  1. Coordination - Initial talk to the persons, partners, and co-organizers will be done to propose the project.
  2. Promotion - The project will be disseminated through various social media platforms with the help of the partner-organizing team and other volunteers.
  3. Implementation - The project will be implemented based on the calendar of activities agreed by the co-organizers. A committee will be created to divide the functions for the smooth operations of the project.
  4. Report Preparation - Project completion and progress report will be prepared at the end of the project.

How will you let others in your community know about your project?

The project will be advertised through different social media platforms. I have also my team who will help me to promote the project in various groups/individuals. Partnership with student council and organization leaders in the University, where I am working, will also be tapped for the wide dissemination of the project.

What will you have done at the end of your project? How will you follow-up with people that are involved with your project?

Complete process documentation and financial report will be done at the end of the project. A narrative report will be sent to the grant team in support of the veracity of undertakings.

Are you running any in-person events or activities? If so, you will need to complete the steps outlined on the Risk Assessment protocol related to COVID-19. When you have completed these steps, please provide a link to your completed copy of the risk assessment tool below:

The proposed project will be implemented online including the pre-implementation phase (e.g. meetings, coordination with the participants, edit-a-thon). On the proposed budget, some items are indicated to implement the project online.

Impact[edit]

How will you know if the project is successful and you've met your goals? Please include the following targets and feel free to add more specific to your project:

  1. Number of total participants: 100 participants
  2. Number of articles improved: 500 articles
  3. Number of photos used on Wikimedia articles: 2000
  4. Number of new editors: 20 individuals (with at least 5 articles or a total of 15,000 bytes added within the next 2 months)

Resources[edit]

What resources do you have? Include information on who is the organizing the project, what they will do, and if you will receive support from anywhere else (in-kind donations or additional funding).

As an employee and part-time educator at the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), one of the Universities in the Philippines, I have the access to use some of its resources especially in promoting the project on different social media platforms. Aside from that, I have also colleagues from the university who are interested to engage in the Wikimedia movement. Involving them in this kind of initiative is also one way to introduce Wikimedia as an open-source of reliable and current information. I am also assisting the local community radio program of the University in which I can use to promote the project on-air.

What resources do you need? For your funding request, list bullet points for each expense:
