personal pronouncs[edit]

FWIW MJL uses they/them. Valereee (talk) 11:46, 15 November 2020 (UTC)

@Valereee Oh, sorry, will rectify, thanks for telling me, it slipped my mind, apologies. Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 11:47, 15 November 2020 (UTC)
No worries at all, I'm sure! :) Valereee (talk) 11:47, 15 November 2020 (UTC)
Hi CM - FYI, there's one more that should be fixed. Aranya (talk) 14:05, 15 November 2020 (UTC)
@Aranya Yes check.svg Done, thanks. Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 14:07, 15 November 2020 (UTC)

Hello CM,

The ListeriaBot is flooding our recent changes at yo:wiki. I am reluctant in blocking this bot. How can we stop this bot without having to block it? Regards. T CellsTalk 12:48, 16 November 2020 (UTC)

@T Cells Why me? I am not the bot operator. Do the bot have a local bot flag, if no then request for one at SRB or if there are local crats, they can grant. In the interim, can consider flagging them as flood flag. In addition, you might want to use an abuse filter to stop the flag. The best is to talk to the bot operator though. Regards, Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 12:51, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
Thanks for your response. I thought you are a steward😊. Your suggestions are very helpful. Thank you. T CellsTalk 12:57, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
@T Cells No problem, I am just a Global rollbacker and meta sysop. Steward is beyond my paygrade :) Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 12:59, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
Would you like to stand in the next election? T CellsTalk 13:24, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
@T Cells Thanks for your recognition, however, I didn't have the intention. I am still very unexperienced and real life issues doesn't permit me to. Have a nice day ahead. Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 13:28, 16 November 2020 (UTC)

Lock Undo[edit]

Hi there, my reports for an account had been undone by you as it had already been done, however on my end the user account doesn't exist globally (Whereas normally it would be shown as locked in their contributions). I trust that you reverted it correctly, however I just want to see where it shows as locked in cases where the account doesn't exist globally. Thanks! Fnafpuppetmaster (talk) 18:00, 20 November 2020 (UTC)

@Fnafpuppetmaster It doesn't appear globally mean the global account is lock + hidden. I had confirmed with stewards this is the case. For the rest, it is locked. So it's already long done before you report. I don't think we need to clutter SRG any further with already done reports, hence, I reverted. Hope you understand. Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 18:02, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
I see, thanks for the clarification! Fnafpuppetmaster (talk) 18:04, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
@Fnafpuppetmaster No issues. Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 18:04, 20 November 2020 (UTC)

Community Wishlist Survey 2021: Invitation[edit]

SGrabarczuk (WMF)

18:25, 20 November 2020 (UTC)

Can I report this, please?[edit]

Dear Camouflaged Mirage, how are you today? I want to report this maybe cyberbulling edit on my talkpage on "Zabili ti šumadinci i hrvatske neokomunjarske srbende nabrekle karine u kockoliku rupu među nogama" and "guzili ti šumadinci glavićem i jajima mamicu i taticu u rupu za izbacivanje govana". Please check his IP adress, he is maybe one of editors on Wikipedia. Best regards.Uspjeh je ključ života (talk) 15:33, 21 November 2020 (UTC)

@Uspjeh je ključ života Reverted and reported to stewards, globally blocked. Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 17:27, 21 November 2020 (UTC)
Thank you, Sir Mirage. Best Regards, Uspjeh je ključ života (talk) 17:48, 21 November 2020 (UTC)
No issues, have a nice day ahead. @Uspjeh je ključ života Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 17:53, 21 November 2020 (UTC)

Dear Camouflared Mirage, I have another to report. It's started when I send nessage to Studenac Market, a company name to change his name. User constantly treat me. Admins don't do nothing. They are not quick enough to stop this user to sabotage my talk page. Best regards, Uspjeh je ključ života (talk) 23:29, 30 November 2020 (UTC)

@Uspjeh je ključ života Hello, this one I can't do much. For hr wiki issues, they have enough admins, let them handle is what we can do. On meta, we have some RFCs about hrwp issues, but to be honest, we cannot do too much. Sorry I cannot assist you in this as our hands are tight. Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 11:31, 1 December 2020 (UTC)

Hello. Thanks for restoring the revs of that page, thought that it was a normal redirect delete. Minorax (talk) 22:04, 26 November 2020 (UTC)

@Minorax No issues, I had thought the same when I moved, and then I am shocked when I saw there are 400+ deleted revs, thankfully it's not more than 500 and the system didn't crash. :) Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 09:27, 27 November 2020 (UTC)

What is wrong with someone sandboxing in their user space here?[edit]

I don't understand what is wrong with someone sandboxing here. What does it matter where they do it or where they learn to mediawiki? As long as it fits within civility, and no spam, I truly don't care where they do it, and have no issue with it being here.  — billinghurst sDrewth 11:20, 28 November 2020 (UTC)

@Billinghurst Nothing wrong if it's in their userspace, so I didn't touch anything belonging to that user in their userspace. I only take issue is when it's in spaces outside userspace, hence, the Template space I deleted. Of course there is no prohibition of any user to experiment anywhere, but experimentation in a template space for meta with a broken template isn't the most desired. And given their history, they have enough and ample opportunities to experiment elsewhere and they had did so, no reason why we allow them to continue to touch our Template namespace. I am alright if they continue sampling in their userspace, we are on the same page here if your title is what I read. As usual, you have the liberty to restore the template if you want, I will just consider it as a reversal of admin action, which I allow anyway without consultation (per my user page). Thanks for the note still. Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 11:39, 28 November 2020 (UTC)
Well it seemed they got a bit of a slap for trying to utilise the editnotice functionality, rather than a guiding hand in the direction of what was available.  — billinghurst sDrewth 13:56, 28 November 2020 (UTC)

Support two- or three-stage system[edit]

I am intrigued by your suggestion of a two-stage system for gban discussions[1]. I would support this or a similar system if it came to an RfC. I formally request to be notified if such an RfC should take place. Darkfrog24 (talk) 05:01, 2 December 2020 (UTC)

@Darkfrog24 We don't usually notify individuals but I will try to keep a look out for such RFC for you. One easy way to know what RFCs is coming up is to monitor closely the village pumps of different sites, for simple it will be Simple Talk, in this way you won't miss any RFCs. I don't have the time now to raise such a RFC, I had several RFCs I will raise first as those are more urgent if I had time as well as some other initiatives, but yes, this will be in my to do list. Hope this explains. Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 10:40, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
Oh, I thought this was like the English Wikipedia where "anyone who has formally requested that they be notified" can be notified without it being votestacking. Darkfrog24 (talk) 14:31, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
@Darkfrog24 I have no idea what English Wikipedia does, but for here well many polls can be canvassed, like Community Wishlist Survey there's encouragement to canvass. There isn't a fixed canvass rule here, it will be horrific to enforce such a rule if there is for admins here. And as what we discuss here have global impact typically, so all the village pumps will be automatically notified via MMS, not to worry for missing out. Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 16:37, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
Excellent. Thanks. Darkfrog24 (talk) 19:16, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
