Broken messages on other wikis[edit]

Hi, could you please check how messages appear elsewhere before you send them to many users? Messages like this with only redlinks are just silly. I would like to opt out of messages like this. --mfb (talk) 00:26, 12 October 2017 (UTC)

My sincere apology, mfb, for slipping up and not changing your listed target page to meta in my masterlist. It was a clerical type error, the rest of the people's target pages are correct. The post was intended to go to your meta talk page where it would display correctly. I hate redlinks, too!! I fixed it on your dewp talk page.
I value the opinion of all stakeholders and I hope that you will not stop participating in these type of discussions because of my clerical error. :-(
Also, we are planning to bring this discussion to the attention of the broader dewp community with the help of User:CSteigenberger (WMF). She is highlighting to the dewp the work the team is planning. So, you have the option of discussing the feature on dewp, too.
Again, apology for not catching that I had listed the wrong page for delivery of the massmessage. SPoore (WMF) (talk) , Community Advocate, Community health initiative (talk) 16:06, 12 October 2017 (UTC)
Ah okay, I didn't know the user group was that small (just 1 affected user in this case). --mfb (talk) 02:28, 13 October 2017 (UTC)

Censorship on Community Health Initiative / Interactive Timeline (critical reading vs. harassment)[edit]

Just wondering why you are actively censoring participation on the talk page and on the project page here and here?

How will this new tool help to prevent abusive astroturfing as seen here?

Is there a convenient time for me to interview you by phone to get your point of view on these matters before the stories go to press? I would like for all points of view to be fairly represented. SashiRolls (talk) 13:30, 14 November 2017 (UTC)

You may also wish to review this proposal and this one by Martin Kraft. Look forward to hearing from you soon. Critical readers need not be considered enemies of the WMF. SashiRolls (talk) 13:52, 14 November 2017 (UTC)

Invitation to Blocking tools consultation[edit]

Hello,

The Wikimedia Foundation's Anti-Harassment Tools team invites all Wikimedians to discuss new blocking tools and improvements to existing blocking tools in December 2017 for development work in early 2018.

How you can help?

  1. Share your ideas on the discussion page or send an email to the Anti-Harassment Tools team.
  2. Spread the word that the consultation is happening and it is important for making decisions about improving the blocking tools.
  3. Help with translation.
  4. If you know of previous discussions about blocking tools that happened on your wiki, share the links.

We are looking forward to learning your ideas.

Special:MergeAccount[edit]

Hi, I think you should visit Special:MergeAccount to automatically create an unified account to every WMF wikis. Now your signature is a red link in wikis where you don't have an account. Stryn (talk) 15:09, 8 December 2017 (UTC)

Thank you, Stryn. I'll do that. SPoore (WMF) (talk) , Community Advocate, Community health initiative (talk) 16:03, 8 December 2017 (UTC)
