Request for removal of my sysop flag. I've not been using it for months and I don't plan to use it in the near future. On it.wiki we have the removal by inactivity rule after 6 months: I'm just shortening the terms. Quatar (talk) 09:06, 9 July 2013 (UTC)

This page is for requests to have stewards grant or revoke administrator, bureaucrat, checkuser, and oversight rights on Wikimedia projects which do not have a local permissions procedure.

Old sections are archived. The list of archives is below.

 • Requests for bot flags are handled at SRB, and requests for global permissions are handled at SRGP.
 • If you are requesting adminship or bureaucratship, and your wiki has a local bureaucrat, submit your request to that user or to the relevant local request page (index).
 • For urgent requests, such as to combat large-scale vandalism on a small wiki, contact a steward in the #wikimedia-stewardsconnect IRC channel. In emergencies, type !steward in the channel to get the attention of stewards. Otherwise, you can type @steward for non-urgent help.

Other than requests to remove your own access or emergencies, please only make requests here after gaining the on-wiki approval of your local community.

Using this page

1. Place the following code at the bottom of the appropriate section below:

Username@xxproject
(your remarks) ~~~~

2. Fill in the values:

 • domain: the wiki's URL domain (like "ex.wikipedia" or "meta.wikimedia").
 • user name: the name of the user whose rights are to be changed (like "Exampleuser"). In case you're requesting access for multiple bots, leave this field blank and give a list of these bots in your remarks
 • discussion: a link to the local vote or discussion about the rights change (for example, "ex:Wikipedia:Requests_for_adminship#ExampleUser"). This should normally be for at least one week, but no more than three weeks (if so, you'll need to restart the process).

3. If anything is missing from your request, a steward will request more information.

Confirmation of signing confidentiality agreement

Certain permissions (notably CheckUser and Oversight) additionally require users to sign a confidentiality agreement. Users requesting these permissions must make a request below, and must also sign the confidentiality agreement with the Wikimedia Foundation. The request is placed on hold temporarily, until the receipt has been formally confirmed by the Office.

Soul Train bxr@wikipedia

I request to prolong my access for 3 more months. For the last 3 months in bxr.wikipedia has changed interface from English to Russian, so this was good change. But I still waiting for changing of namespaces to Buryat language. Untill this, I can't say that my mission is finished. Also, I desided to permanently ban user Gubin Michail because of his constantly violations. Please, let me know if I do it wrong. Soul Train (talk) 08:36, 26 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, please make a local announcement about this request nevertheless, even if there is no community. --MF-W 00:13, 27 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Here's the link--Soul Train (talk) 08:10, 28 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose Oppose. This is not active user in latest week's. In 30 days, he make 41 edits. He remove 700 articles and blocked the most active and promising participant in perpetuity once the ban to edit him discussion page, and send the letter.--Region190 (talk) 19:14, 28 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
These alleged 700 articles seem to be empty pages. --Vituzzu (talk) 16:39, 30 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
In lezgin wikipedia too many there pages, but Soul Train don't remove it.--Region190 (talk) 17:13, 30 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
What? You have no right to talk about this one of the best newly opened Wikimedia project. This is the real Diamond with native users who want to develop their Wikipedia. If I see garbage somewhere, I delete it, no matter if it Russian, Buryat, Chechen, Lezgi, Avar or another language section.--Soul Train (talk) 11:45, 2 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
 • I think that everybody in the Meta knows my good intentions and experience in working to support different sections of Wikipedia in languages of Russian Federation. Also, everybody knows that I never hold for the technical permissions. I'm proud that I deleted this garbage and also I can say that I warned about this possible deletion during the voting. I have done everything to prevent this deletion, but Mr. Gubin done nothing to expand his blanked pages with 1-2 words (I can't call it "articles"). Unfortunately, nobody wants to develop this section and I do not exclude that once Buryat Wikipedia can be transferring back to the Incubator. I want to help to all Wikipedias in languages of Russian Federation, but only if native speakers themselves want to develop their projects. About Region190, I don't even want to discuss this schoolboy (familiar of permanently banned in Russian and Buryat Wikipedia user Gubin) who simply chasing for permissions in almost dead projects.--Soul Train (talk) 11:29, 2 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Strongly Oppose Oppose. This user became an admin. After that he changet interface to RUSSIAN, and lots of buryats live in China or Mongolia and don't speak russian. Then he deleted more than 300 pages, wich wore stubs. Then he wasn't active AT ALL! I was an admin of buryat Wikipedia before him. I added to a page about russian musition Vicktor Coj link to my translation to buryat his song on YouTube and this vandal blocked me indefinately! NO WAY!--Gubin (talk) 15:31, 4 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Xaris333@el.wikinews

Done Granted for 6 months to expire on 2014-01-07. --MF-W 03:19, 7 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Comp1089@kv.wikipedia

Hello, I'd like my sysop status @ Komi Wikipedia to be prolonged. Comp1089 (talk) 17:14, 6 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

On hold for 1 week until 13 July. --MF-W 17:49, 6 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Comp1089@koi.wikipedia

Hello, since the wiki has no admin and Komi-Permyak is strongly related to Komi, I'd like to get the admin flag on that wiki. --Comp1089 (talk) 17:19, 6 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of access

<translate>

 • If you're requesting the removal of your own permissions, make sure you're logged in to your account. If you have multiple flags, specify which you want removed. Stewards may delay your request a short time to ensure you have time to rethink your request (see previous discussion on 24 hour delays); the rights will not be restored by stewards once they are removed.
 • To request the removal of another user's permissions, you must gain consensus on the local wiki first. When there is community consensus that the user's access should be removed, provide a link to the discussion, with a brief explanation of the reason for the request, and summarize the results of discussion. However, as bureaucrats of some wikis may remove users from the administrator or bureaucrat group, please see also a separate list of these specific wikis.
 • To request the removal of another user's permissions for inactivity, link to your local inactivity policy. If your site does not have inactivity policy, the global policy Admin activity review applies.
 • See the instructions above for adding new requests. Please post new requests at the bottom of the section.</translate>

Sysop, que no usa los botones desde hace más de 8 años.Por favor solicito que retiren esos permisos. --Leitoxx (talk) 00:52, 29 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please point to a local consensus on the rights removal. --MF-W 11:54, 29 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
If no vote has been opened, I would advise you to open one for removing the sysop rights of every account you listed here. You can also use the same vote to create a local inactivity policy, which would make the life easier in the future. Regards, -- Quentinv57 (talk) 15:16, 29 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
es.wiktionary agreed to abide by Admin activity review (see here for the agreement made into policy), so that constitutes their inactivity policy. They should follow the procedure of that page IMHO. -- MarcoAurelio (talk) 09:40, 3 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The first sentence of that section states that the Spanish Wiktionary doesn't have an official inactivity policy. LlamaAl (talk) 21:04, 5 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
That's contradictory:
 1. They title the quoted section as Policy.
 2. In the first para they say they do not have an inactivity policy for, subsequently, say that they accept Admin activity review ("pero acepta acogerse a la política de Wiki-Media en general").
So IMHO they do have an inactivity policy, the Meta one, which is no less policy than if it were created locally. After all they voted and agreed to abide by the meta one. AAR is apparently in the final phase of writting so we could soon start the process, hopefully. As for this requests, perhaps they should not be processed until AAR has gone live? -- MarcoAurelio (talk) 14:48, 7 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
