Hello, Patrik L.. Welcome to the Wikimedia Meta-Wiki! This website is for coordinating and discussing all Wikimedia projects. You may find it useful to read our policy page. If you are interested in doing translations, visit Meta:Babylon. You can also leave a note on Meta:Babel or Wikimedia Forum if you need help with something (please read the instructions at the top of the page before posting there). Also worthwhile acquainting yourself with the functions of global user pages. Happy editing!

tw.net

[edit]

Hello, Patriccck,

Re tw.net.

It is not part of the Wikimedia Foundation projects. It should not be included, since it is completely autonomous. Hope this helps.

With regards, -- Nesmir Kudilovič (razgovor) 21:16, 7. prosinca 2018. (SEV)

Sorry but I didn't notice your message which was buried under pile of vandalisms and gibberish. Please have a look at GIPBE, which is the right place for this kind of request. --Vituzzu (talk) 23:30, 4 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

The Affiliate-selected Board seats process welcomes your support

[edit]

Hello. You are receiving this message because you are active in the field of translations <3 The movement needs you! The Nominations phase has started for the ongoing selection process of two Board members, and the timeline is quite tight.

A Translation Central is available to help translators figure out what's been covered and what's left to do. Over the course of the next few weeks, your attention on candidates' profiles is particularly welcome.

While there are four languages that are especially relevant for multiple affiliates (namely Arabic, French, Russian and Spanish), we are asking your help for Chinese, Ukrainian, Bengali, Czech, Hungarian, Romanian, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, Polish, Farsi, German, Cantonese, Finnish, Hindi, Thai, Dutch, and Greek, as these also matter to affiliates! If you can't help: please see if you know anyone in your circle who could, and spread the word :) Thank you! Elitre (WMF) and Facilitators of ASBS 2019, 21:35, 24 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Maybe we can translate WAM CentralNotice?

When I saw you create the CentralNotice request of WAM on Czech Wikipedia, I think maybe we can translate it, and target more language Wikipedia. But I am unfamiliar with this.....Could you help me? or tell me who maybe can help. (P.S. My English is not good. If you read sentence very hard, it's my wrong....)--KOKUYO (talk) 20:29, 20 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

@KOKUYO: Hello, my English is not also good and I understood you. :-) Administrator of CentralNotice and my Czech colleague Martin Urbanec is willing and I hope he can help you with that. Feel free to contact him about global banners. I hope that I helped. --Patriccck (talk) 20:43, 20 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello, one of our judges in Simple English Wikipedia renamed from Thegooduser to つがる. I can't find a way to update the system, I tried all ways, can I get some help in changing the username. Thanks much. Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 12:26, 22 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Camouflaged Mirage Hello, thanks for your message. Try this link (Jury) and edit his username. Does it work now? Patriccck (talk) 12:29, 22 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
Ah, it works now. Thanks so much :) Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 12:31, 22 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Camouflaged Mirage BTW using /config you can edit for example this strange name of edit-a-thon. :-D Patriccck (talk) 12:33, 22 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
As far as I can see this is our edit-a-thorn, I don't really know what that is? Is it safe to just delete? Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 13:27, 22 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Wiki of Functions followup

[edit]

Hi there, I'm a researcher for the Wikilambda project. Last month we held a naming contest and I'm following up with those who voted to see if you might be willing to provide some feedback to help guide the project.

This would be a 45 minute conversation about your past experience with other Wikimedia projects and thoughts about the future of this new initiative. I'm hoping to gather a wide range of perspectives so I'd be interested in your opinion regardless of whether you plan to have further involvement.

As a way of saying thanks, the research team is offering a $35 gift card (in your local currency) for participation. We could chat by phone or through a website for audio conferencing.

If you're interested just pick a time slot from this calendar link:
https://wikilambda-voter.youcanbook.me

Hope to hear from you soon!

@JDH264 Hello, I am not very good in English, so I am not sure if I would understand you. Patriccck (talk) 10:40, 14 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Patriccck Okay, thanks for letting me know. In future research projects we may be able to find an interpreter who can translate between English and Czech. — The preceding unsigned comment was added by JDH264 (talk)
@JDH264 I can speak and understand English at level B1, maybe partially B2. I do not know if it is sufficient for that 45-minute conversation. --Patriccck (talk) 14:21, 14 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
