Mozilla Addon Cite4wiki

There are a good Addon Wikipedia:Cite4Wiki for citation tool on Mozilla Web browser. But it is not working for last 5 years. I don't know the any alternatives of this tool. Asaf Bartov tried to fix the issues at here. If the Indic Techcom Team could fix this issues , that will very helpful all community. Jayantanth (talk) 08:31, 17 March 2019 (UTC)

@Jayantanth: Okay, I have taken a look, and it seems Firefox has progressed too much in the six years since I made the Jetpack version (itself just an emergency rewrite to keep SMcCandlish's Cite4Wiki working), so Cite4Wiki NG isn't working either. Before I look for time to adapt it to modern Firefox requirements, can you say a little more on the need for this tool at this point? Doesn't Visual Editor solve this problem well? @Jayprakash: Thanks for reply. @Asaf (WMF):, I am not a user of VE, so I don't know the how to use this at VE. But the GUI of this addon was the best for me to add the citeweb refernece from a website.Jayantanth (talk) 12:56, 23 March 2019 (UTC)

Move & Replace

Citation template date validation localisation for tewiki

When using citation templates imported from English Wikipedia in Telugu, date validation works for only only date month and year and fails for for other formats with only month and year. Citation templates are using Lua Module (te:మాడ్యూల్:Citation/CS1/Date validation) which needs to be localised for Locale date formats. More than 1000 pages are affected by this (Link: te:వర్గం:CS1 errors: dates )--Arjunaraoc (talk) 07:10, 15 October 2019 (UTC)

For now, we have made the configuration changes of InternetArchiveBot so that it will use dates as on English wikipedia and thereby avoid errors on tewiki.--Arjunaraoc (talk) 06:57, 20 January 2020 (UTC)

Fixing the template on Punjabi Wikipedia

Set a limit to FindAndReplace script

Hi, thanks for developing such a useful tool. We faced some violation of our bot policy with this in bnwiki. Some users flooded RC with this. Is it possible to set a limit of 5-10 edits at a time?—Yahya (talk • contribs.) 17:21, 5 March 2021 (UTC)

Hi Bodhisattwa Ji, the problem was not in tool itself. You made some changes at wikisource:bn:MediaWiki:Proofreadpage index template on Bangla Wikisource which removed some property on which tool is relied. Luckily, our new revision of pywikisource library does not have this dependency. I have upgrade it to toolforge. Now you can see stats at contest 39.--Jayprakash >>> Talk 04:33, 20 March 2021 (UTC)

Requesting the AssessmentBar to be made functional again for Tag & Assess Drives in WikiProject India (en:WP)

Hi @Jayprakash12345:,

Wikipedians from WikiProject India were using a script called as AssessmentBar in WikiProject India (en:WP). The details of the AssessmentBar are given here. It's not working any more.

We wish to carry out a drive by which we can tag and assess about 10,800 articles of WikiProject India. Without the script it would take a very large time to be able to do so and the drive would not be possible. We request that if it can be made functional so that we can use it for Tagging & Assessing.
