This page is for requests to have stewards grant or revoke administrator, bureaucrat, checkuser, and oversight rights on Wikimedia projects which do not have a local permissions procedure.

Old sections are archived. The list of archives is below.

 • Requests for bot flags are handled at SRB, and requests for global permissions are handled at SRGP.
 • If you are requesting adminship or bureaucratship, and your wiki has a local bureaucrat, submit your request to that user or to the relevant local request page (index).
 • For urgent requests, such as to combat large-scale vandalism on a small wiki, contact a steward in the #wikimedia-stewardsconnect IRC channel. In emergencies, type !steward in the channel to get the attention of stewards. Otherwise, you can type @steward for non-urgent help.

Other than requests to remove your own access or emergencies, please only make requests here after gaining the on-wiki approval of your local community.

Using this page

1. Place the following code at the bottom of the appropriate section below:

Username@xxproject
(your remarks) ~~~~

2. Fill in the values:

 • domain: the wiki's URL domain (like "ex.wikipedia" or "meta.wikimedia").
 • user name: the name of the user whose rights are to be changed (like "Exampleuser"). In case you're requesting access for multiple bots, leave this field blank and give a list of these bots in your remarks
 • discussion: a link to the local vote or discussion about the rights change (for example, "ex:Wikipedia:Requests_for_adminship#ExampleUser"). This should normally be for at least one week, but no more than three weeks (if so, you'll need to restart the process).

3. If anything is missing from your request, a steward will request more information.

Confirmation of signing confidentiality agreement

Certain permissions (notably CheckUser and Oversight) additionally require users to sign a confidentiality agreement. Users requesting these permissions must make a request below, and must also sign the confidentiality agreement with the Wikimedia Foundation. The request is placed on hold temporarily, until the receipt has been formally confirmed by the Office.

Soul Train bxr@wikipedia

I request to prolong my access for 3 more months. For the last 3 months in bxr.wikipedia has changed interface from English to Russian, so this was good change. But I still waiting for changing of namespaces to Buryat language. Untill this, I can't say that my mission is finished. Also, I desided to permanently ban user Gubin Michail because of his constantly violations. Please, let me know if I do it wrong. Soul Train (talk) 08:36, 26 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, please make a local announcement about this request nevertheless, even if there is no community. --MF-W 00:13, 27 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Here's the link--Soul Train (talk) 08:10, 28 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose Oppose. This is not active user in latest week's. In 30 days, he make 41 edits. He remove 700 articles and blocked the most active and promising participant in perpetuity once the ban to edit him discussion page, and send the letter.--Region190 (talk) 19:14, 28 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
These alleged 700 articles seem to be empty pages. --Vituzzu (talk) 16:39, 30 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
In lezgin wikipedia too many there pages, but Soul Train don't remove it.--Region190 (talk) 17:13, 30 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
What? You have no right to talk about this one of the best newly opened Wikimedia project. This is the real Diamond with native users who want to develop their Wikipedia. If I see garbage somewhere, I delete it, no matter if it Russian, Buryat, Chechen, Lezgi, Avar or another language section.--Soul Train (talk) 11:45, 2 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
 • I think that everybody in the Meta knows my good intentions and experience in working to support different sections of Wikipedia in languages of Russian Federation. Also, everybody knows that I never hold for the technical permissions. I'm proud that I deleted this garbage and also I can say that I warned about this possible deletion during the voting. I have done everything to prevent this deletion, but Mr. Gubin done nothing to expand his blanked pages with 1-2 words (I can't call it "articles"). Unfortunately, nobody wants to develop this section and I do not exclude that once Buryat Wikipedia can be transferring back to the Incubator. I want to help to all Wikipedias in languages of Russian Federation, but only if native speakers themselves want to develop their projects. About Region190, I don't even want to discuss this schoolboy (familiar of permanently banned in Russian and Buryat Wikipedia user Gubin) who simply chasing for permissions in almost dead projects.--Soul Train (talk) 11:29, 2 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Strongly Oppose Oppose. This user became an admin. After that he changet interface to RUSSIAN, and lots of buryats live in China or Mongolia and don't speak russian. Then he deleted more than 300 pages, wich wore stubs. Then he wasn't active AT ALL! I was an admin of buryat Wikipedia before him. I added to a page about russian musition Vicktor Coj link to my translation to buryat his song on YouTube and this vandal blocked me indefinately! NO WAY!--Gubin (talk) 15:31, 4 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Can somebody globally ban user Губин Михаил, because he indefinitely banned in two Wikimedia Projects at the moment - in Russian and in Buryat Wikipedia?--Soul Train (talk) 08:37, 12 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
 • I need extra permissions immidiately! At the moment all namespaces finally were translated and moved fromm Translatewiki. This paragraph of my program of developing of Buryat Wikipedia was successfully completed. Now I should fix the bags in some system messages and in Sidebar 'cause now it doesn't work correctly.--Soul Train (talk) 08:32, 12 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
 • Or can somebody fix the Sidebar - now Special:RescentChanges and Special:NewPages called in Russian «Служебная:», it needed to fix - «Тусхай:».--Soul Train (talk) 08:42, 12 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
 • Please, close this request. I don't want to take part in the farce, when many users, even if they really want to help another small projects, came in some almost dead project and elect the Administrator. If you don't want to prolong my permissions, well, let it be. Every regular user in Russian Wikipedias knows about vandals like Gubin, Region190 and their band. They don't care about quality of Wikipedia, simply schoolboys who want to socialise in wiki-projects. And I don't want to spend my time in wars with those boys. This is the first thing. Second, Buryat Wikipedia is really dead project that nobody wants to develop. Making pages like "Rwanda - African country" was not developing of project.--Soul Train (talk) 12:30, 16 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Not done at this time. Please return this conversation to the bxrwiki and have the nomination process and conversation there. This page is not the right page to undertaken the debate. Please let the conversation run at least a week. — billinghurst sDrewth 16:32, 29 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I repeat, I don't want to be sysop in this absolutely dead project. At the same time, I'll check that vandal users such Region190 or Gubin Michail never take the power there.--Soul Train (talk) 06:32, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ayie7791 ace@wikipedia

I see at this time is really critical the existence of a local admin on the ace.wikipedia, so back I volunteered to be an admin. For the cooperation and his consent I say thank you. Ayie7791 (talk) 19:45, 11 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Seeing no opposition, I recommend temporary administrator first. Having limited active users may make granting permanent flag too early.--Jusjih (talk) 03:11, 12 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose Oppose to promote any users to admin on acewiki right now. See the previous admin requests here (Ayie7791), here (Si Gam) and here (GabTHAT). Trijnsteltalk 15:31, 12 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
For what reason? And until when? -- Si Gam (talk) 11:43, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
If you accuse for the same reason, please do check user soon! -- Si Gam (talk) 10:40, 14 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
What does it mean we deserve blacklisted users? For what reason we do not have a right to participate more in the places where we contribute in it? -- Ayie7791 (talk) 16:31, 15 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Please check IP from all our contributions too. -- Si Gam (talk) 17:08, 16 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
 • Comment Comment I believe that the comment is that there has been general problems with acewiki and administration, and that it is probably prudent to not appoint any admins at this time due to the general issues and disagreements. — billinghurst sDrewth 16:34, 28 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
OK. I suggest this Wikipedia should be closed.. :) -- Si Gam (talk) 07:39, 3 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

زكريا@sowikipedia

Permission expires July 30. Request for renewal, as permanent adminship this time :) Zack (talk) 19:30, 28 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Comment Comment It is still not a big community sowiki, so probably longer term rather than permanent is more appropriate. — billinghurst sDrewth 13:49, 29 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Also  On hold until 4 August (1 week minimum for discussion). --MF-W 11:28, 30 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

आशीष भटनागर@hiwikipedia

This user has a successful RfA with nine support and one neutral !votes. Results are summarised in a table at the bottom of the discussion.--Bill william compton (talk) 05:28, 31 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have been reading the discussion through Google Translate (which is of course error-prone) and found the following votes for आशीष भटनागर: Sanjeev Kumar, Mala Chaubey, Hunnjazal, अनुनाद सिंह, Kramtlverma, Hemant wikikosh (6). Could you tell me which ones I missed? --MF-W 00:51, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I thought it would happen. Support !votes: Sanjeev Kumar, Mala Chaubey, Hunnjazal, अनुनाद सिंह, Kramtlverma, Hemant wikikosh, अजीत कुमार तिवारी, me (Bill william compton) and Siddhartha Ghai; neutral !vote: Hindustanilanguage. Also, this user was (mysteriously) stripped of his admin rights, can you tell me the real reason behind it (according to the latest log)? Regards.--Bill william compton (talk) 10:49, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the clarification. The reason for the removal in the log is "expired", please see the archive: It seems like there was some confusion whether he was granted permanent or temporary adminship.
Done. --MF-W 00:02, 2 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This user has a successful RfA with the full support of Hindi Wikipedia community. Results are summarised in a table at the bottom of the discussion.--Bill william compton (talk) 05:28, 31 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Same as above, I found Sanjeev Kumar, Mala Chaubey, Hunnjazal, अनुनाद सिंह, Kramtlverma, आशीष भटनागर and Hemant wikikosh (7). Which ones are missing? --MF-W 00:51, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

chaojoker@hywikibooks

Armenian Wikibooks has had a very small community and no active admin in the last few years, as a result of which has become a hotbed for copyrighted content of some books to be copied there. Hereby I request temporary admin status to remove the copyrighted material and prevent more of it from being added. Thank you, Chaojoker (talk) 19:37, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Done Granted for 3 months to expire on 2013-11-02. To prolong your (interface) adminship, please start another election a few days before your temporary access expires, and after a week post your request again to this page. Thanks. --MF-W 00:06, 2 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Anson2812@hakwikipedia

Hakka Wikipedia has had a very small community and no active admin in the last few months, as a result of which many new users are not receiving any help or feedback on how to edit there and many of them have become disheartened now and have become inactive for many weeks now. (In contrast, Cantonese Wikipedia has 11 admins and Minnan Wikipedia has 8 admins.)

Hereby I request that User:Anson2812 be granted temporary admin status to help revive that wikipedia language edition, revert vandalism (for example: this edit), and help out new editors on how to properly create and edit articles there. He was the one who translated the interface messages into Hakka Chinese characters and helped renovate the Main Page of Hakka Wikipedia.

Thank you, --Hakka (talk) 18:22, 2 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Mnemonic kek@hakwikipedia

Wikipedia is often occasionally blocked on Mainland China and when this occurs, all Wikipedia editions including Hakka Wikipedia are also blocked for certain time periods. The current admin (User:Anson2812) is based in Mainland China, hence there will be times when he would have difficulty accessing Wikipedia to review new edits.

User:Mnemonic kek is a Malaysian Hakka and would be unaffected by the Great Firewall of China. For the above reasons, I humbly request that User:Mnemonic kek be granted temporary admin status to help revive that wikipedia language edition, revert vandalism and help out new editors on how to properly edit articles there. He was the one who created 80-90% of the current Hakka Chinese character articles of Hakka Wikipedia.

(I am well aware of the existence of the Small Wiki Monitoring Team in reverting vandalism. However on Hakka Wikipedia the 'vandalism' often comes in the form of inserrting mandarin chinese character articles/content without the use of any Hakka grammar and such edits typically go unnoticed. Such edits will increase in frequency as time passes). A native Hakka speaker will be able to both identify and rectify the problem in a more timely manner than non-native speakers.)

Thank you. --Hakka (talk) 07:36, 3 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of access

<translate>

 • If you're requesting the removal of your own permissions, make sure you're logged in to your account. If you have multiple flags, specify which you want removed. Stewards may delay your request a short time to ensure you have time to rethink your request (see previous discussion on 24 hour delays); the rights will not be restored by stewards once they are removed.
 • To request the removal of another user's permissions, you must gain consensus on the local wiki first. When there is community consensus that the user's access should be removed, provide a link to the discussion, with a brief explanation of the reason for the request, and summarize the results of discussion. However, as bureaucrats of some wikis may remove users from the administrator or bureaucrat group, please see also a separate list of these specific wikis.
 • To request the removal of another user's permissions for inactivity, link to your local inactivity policy. If your site does not have inactivity policy, the global policy Admin activity review applies.
 • See the instructions above for adding new requests. Please post new requests at the bottom of the section.</translate>

On the Swedish Wikipedia all admins/bureaucrats/CU/OS are elected for one year at a time, see the policy document. There exists a possibility to be reelected, but some users choose not to apply for another period. Ferdi, Heretik, Igor & Missmarple @sl.wikipedia

I request a removal of sysop status for above listed admins and 'crats (Igor and Heretik are bureaucrats) due to their inactivity. Reason: After long discussion at local village pump (here and here) we decided to have a vote on a policy regarding inactive admins and/or crats in SL:WP. Voting can be seen here. According to elected policy sysops loose their status after two years of inactivity. All four users were notified via their talk pages about this policy one month ago and were asked to respond; there was no objection. Regards, MZaplotnik (contribs) 13:16, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
