quick note[edit]

Hello Dušan_Kreheľ I think that if you find it difficult to say something in English, it may help to post a message in the language that you know best. For you that might be Slovak? I have had good experiences checking translations with Deepl (https://www.deepl.com/translator). My best wishes, Vexations (talk) 14:51, 16 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Editing your user page[edit]

Hi there. I wanted to fix a broken link on your user page: [[:sk|Slovak Wikipédia]] to this [[:sk:|Slovak Wikipédia]] Currently, clicking on 'Slovak Wikipedia' redirects you to a page 'Sk'. With my suggestion, it should redirect to the actual Slovak Wikipedia ;) --Elytrian (talk) 14:30, 30 September 2021 (UTC) @Elytrian: I am edited a link. Thx for warning. ✍️ Dušan Kreheľ (talk) 16:23, 30 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think I understand what you were trying to express[edit]

I've read your post here. Since there is a possibility we may need to work together in the near future, I want to make sure we understand each other. Why did you include the two links that you did, which don't provide names of the selectors for those regions either? Why did you ask if I was a journalist? Was that intended to be a compliment or an insult? I recognize that we have different first languages, so it is important to work together to reduce the opportunity for misunderstanding.

I hope that you will agree with me that the best way to start to get community acceptance of the MCDC is to make the election/selection process as transparent as possible, and for those who are making decisions to be known and to be accountable for those decisions. Perhaps you don't agree with me, though. Risker (talk) 01:07, 12 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Risker: Hi.

The links show the way to the result, it is not pure to see the result.

Journalist, that was like a funny compliment. The journalist wants details (either to understand the issue or to document and publish it well).

Transparency should be in accordance with the contract = rules. And those rules should be proportionate or as transparent as possible.

✍️ Dušan Kreheľ (talk) 08:49, 16 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Dušan. That helps me to understand better. Risker (talk) 16:27, 16 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Fix needed to Movement Charter, Drafting Committee, 2021.png[edit]

I described an error on commons:File talk:Movement Charter, Drafting Committee, 2021.png, then noticed you were apparently the principal editor for this file. It would be good if you could fix it. Thanks. --R. S. Shaw (talk) 21:04, 13 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Universal Code of Conduct/Enforcement guidelines/Clean voter result[edit]

Hi Dušan,

Thank you very much for Universal Code of Conduct/Enforcement guidelines/Clean voter result! The table has triggered some questions on dewiki. We don't really understand columns "People – contributes" and "Count wiki contributes". What are these numbers? Thanks in advance for clarifying, --MBq (talk) 18:39, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@MBq I updated the document. You look the section Universal_Code_of_Conduct/Enforcement_guidelines/Clean_voter_result#People_–_contributes_(algoritmus_/_code) and the tooltips in the header line in the table. Dušan Kreheľ (talk) 18:48, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I can use your input on a few things. I have one or two questions at the outset, just as general suggestions. (A) Are you currently participating at the forums entitled "Forum Movement Strategy" if not, would you be willing or interested to join? If so, I would like to send you a link to join that site. Could you please send me your email address? (B) I have made quite a few changes to the draft of navbox, and also, I have split it into two navboxes.
Please feel free to take a look, and let me know any comments. I am actually planning to move ahead, and make these drafts into actual navboxes, but I will welcome your feedback any time, at any and every point in the process. I greatly appreciate all of your help, input, and insights. Thanks!! --Sm8900 (talk) 17:02, 20 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@جار الله:Hi. If i look, so my bot changes are marked as the bot changes. The bot use "bot":true (right by mw:API:Edit). If i look the Recent changes (with enabled to show plus the bot changes, default is without), so at my bot change i see the flag the bot change type.
Any problem, i think, i don't need this: mw:API:Assert. Dušan Kreheľ (talk) 07:10, 11 July 2022 (UTC), Dušan Kreheľ (talk) 07:11, 11 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your bot is not using a bot flag when editing[edit]

Hi. Your bot was doing well on Farsi Wikipedia when removing tracking URL parameters, But i had to block it there because Special:RecentChanges was saturated by its edits and some RC patrollers complained about that. Please review the code and make sure that its edits will be marked as bot and let me know when i can unblock the bot on fawiki. Thank you. Jeeputer (talk) 21:40, 11 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Jeeputer: You can chancel the ban. I will do the mass changes them, when it will right fixed. Dušan Kreheľ (talk) 18:04, 12 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your response. I unblocked your bot on fawiki. I will monitor its contributions and will let you know if there was any issues. Jeeputer (talk) 21:14, 12 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Translation of the Election Compass into Slovak[edit]

Dear Dušan,

My name is Cornelius, I work for the Wikimedia Foundation within the team called Movement Strategy and Governance -- I think we know each other virtually. As you maybe remember, I organized the prototype of the Election Compass for the election of the Movement Charter Drafting Committee last year. That's the tool which supported community members in getting to know the huge number of candidates running back then, and to see how much you share points of view on Wikimedia topics.

A great advantage of the tool is that is rather easy to make it multilingual by translating the interface and the content. I remember that you had provided translations of the interface to Slovak via the table on Meta. THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Unfortunately, back then, it came a bit too late, so it couldn't be deployed on time for the Election Compass.

As it the tool was perceived as a success, we're now doing a new edition of it focusing on the upcoming elections to the Board of Trustees of the Wikimedia Foundation. This year's intention is to make the tool available in around 26 languages. Your interface translation of last year could be added now, as the interface stays the same.

But translating the interface is just the first part. The content of the tool consists of the 15 statements (which will be voted on from July 22 until August 1), and then the explanations of the 6 candidates for their positions (deadline for them is August 10). The expected (estimated) word count to be translated is 3900 words.

My question is: Would you like to (and be available) to translate the content for this year's tool to Slovak? It would be wonderful to provide this tool into your language and make the election more accessible to your community (even if it might be a smaller one).

Let me know what you think and if you available. Ideally rather soon, as the hard deadline for deploying new interface translations is July 22. You can also write me an email to ckibelka-ctr(_AT_)wikimedia.org. Cheers, --Cornelius Kibelka (WMF) (talk to me) 20:30, 19 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@CKibelka (WMF): Hi. I don't will translate. Dušan Kreheľ (talk) 12:38, 20 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
OK! --Cornelius Kibelka (WMF) (talk to me) 13:49, 20 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Dušan, I noticed that you marked a section on the above page as needing an update. Could you please elaborate on what needs to be updated there? Joe Sutherland (Wikimedia Foundation) (talk) 20:31, 8 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@JSutherland (WMF):
I don't know more, it was a long time ago for me. Dušan Kreheľ (talk) 21:09, 8 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Ah I see. The section that was tagged refers to previous committees, which were bespoke for each election cycle. Those links are from the standing committee which has not changed since 2017. I can incorporate those as links to the page however. Joe Sutherland (Wikimedia Foundation) (talk) 21:24, 8 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Signpost-Spam in fremdsprachigen Wikipedien[edit]

Was soll das?
