О Эрзянской юзер-группе

Добрый вечер! Поздравляю с созданием юзер-группы. Специально по этому случаю подготовил статью на блоге Викимедиа Украина. Также приглашаю присоединиться к конкурсу CEE Spring 2017, который будет проходить уже третий раз в странах Восточной и Центральной Европы, а также за пределами региона. В прошлом году отдельно принимали участие башкиры и якуты и показали достаточно хороший результат. Участие в конкурсе позволит написать множество статей о эрзя на языках региона, а также улучшить информацию о регионе на эрзянском языке. Для участия нужно зарегистрироваться в списке участников, создать страничку конкурса на эрзвики, а также создать список из 100 необходимых статей о эрзя. Буду рад помочь если будут вопросы. Добрый вечер! Создавайте страницу Wikimedia CEE Spring 2017/Structure/Erzya по принципу других (куда нужно ввести список статей в виде кода из Викиданных). В таблицу думаю добавят потом эрзянский язык. Или может быть @Voll: поможет нам это сделать. Но в любом случае создавайте список необходимых статей и создавайте страницу конкурса в эрзянской вики. Как пример можете использовать этот список, который относиться к отдельному народу и больше подойдет в Вашем случае. Привет! А отчего подпись на логотипе File:Wikimedians of Erzyan language User Group logo ru.png не совпадает с русским переводом на стр. Wikimedians_of_Erzya_language_User_Group/ru?

• на лого «Викимедийцы [/] редакторы эрзянского языка [/] юзер-группа»
• на странице группы "Викимедийцы, пишущие на эрзянском языке"

Invitation to organize CEE Spring 2020

Dear Erzianj jurnalist! We are writing to you because you have organised CEE Spring in your community in the past and hope that you're excited to participate this year too! :-)

The time has come to start preparing for CEE Spring 2020 which will happen during the usual timeframe (21st of March until May 31st).

There are some things the we want to announce:

• You are welcome to join the international team.
• You can sign up as a local organizer
• To reduce administrative overhead there would be stricter rules on how communities can receive prize funds.
• You can start working on local pages and article lists.
• We are willing to expand our side contests like CEE Women and spice up our Hall of Fame.
• We are also looking into opportunities for communities outside the region, including running contest on English Wikipedia.
• We will communicate all our activities in email list, Facebook group and Telegram.

Community Wishlist Survey 2021: Invitation

The 2021 Community Wishlist Survey is now open! This survey is the process where communities decide what the Community Tech team should work on over the next year. We encourage everyone to submit proposals until the deadline on 30 November, or comment on other proposals to help make them better. The communities will vote on the proposals between 8 December and 21 December.

The Community Tech team is focused on tools for experienced Wikimedia editors. You can write proposals in any language, and we will translate them for you. Thank you, and we look forward to seeing your proposals!

Community Wishlist Survey 2021

We invite all registered users to vote on the 2021 Community Wishlist Survey. You can vote from now until 21 December for as many different wishes as you want.

In the Survey, wishes for new and improved tools for experienced editors are collected. After the voting, we will do our best to grant your wishes. We will start with the most popular ones.

We, the Community Tech, are one of the Wikimedia Foundation teams. We create and improve editing and wiki moderation tools. What we work on is decided based on results of the Community Wishlist Survey. Once a year, you can submit wishes. After two weeks, you can vote on the ones that you're most interested in. Next, we choose wishes from the survey to work on. Some of the wishes may be granted by volunteer developers or other teams.

Wiki World Heritage UG Minutes of the Meeting 02-13-2021

Hello!

The first meeting of the Board of Wiki World Heritage User Group (WWH UG) was held last February 13, 2021. Board members discussed several topics including the dispatching of roles inside the board. You can find the minutes of the meeting via the following link [1].

Also, the board discussed the importance of capacity building for the group members and we would like to invite all the members to fill the following form [2] in order to help define the learning priorities.

Furthermore, the board discussed some ideas for the 2021 annual program but we would like to hear also from the members in case they would like to propose some activities. We would like to invite you to update this page and add any potential activities[3].

A meeting will be held in the first week of March in order to finalize the program and you can find below [4] a doodle link to choose the date and time that suits you.

Команда по Стратегии Движения и Управлению Фонда Викимедиа приглашает вас на мероприятие по теме "Региональные и тематические хабы". Движение Викимедиа работает над определением того, какими должны быть региональные и тематические хабы. Воркшоп проведённый в ноябре 2021 года дал старт обсуждениям (прочитать отчёт), но мы ещё не закончили.

За последние недели мы провели порядка 16 интервью с группами, работающими над созданием хабов в своих регионах ( ознакомьтесь с Hubs Dialogue). Данные интервью легли в основу отчёта, который послужит фундаментом для обсуждения 12 марта. Отчёт будет доступен 9 марта.

Мероприятие состоится 12 марта с 13:00 до 16:00 UTC на платформе Zoom. Будет обеспечен устный перевод на французский, испанский, арабский, русский и португальский языки. Регистрация завершится 10 марта. К участию приглашаются все, кто заинтересован. Дополнительная информация о мероприятии на Мета-вики.

Get started with the Lua interface to simplify the preparation of modules for translation in MetaWiki

Greetings!

The Language and Product Localization team has developed a Lua interface to simplify the preparation of Lua modules for translation in the MetaWiki platform. This means that module developers can now use the new Lua interface to load translatable strings, and the translators can translate them in the same translation interface that is used for templates and wiki pages.

This improvement makes it easier for translators to find and edit module strings without dealing with raw Lua code. It helps prevent mistakes that could break the module during translation.

We invite you to watch our demo video and read more about translatable modules to understand how it works. Please give us your feedback on this talk page on how well the Lua interface addresses the challenges in your workflow and how useful it is in module localization tasks. You can also refer to Module:User Wikimedia project, which was recently converted to utilize these messages, for example usage.

Your feedback is important as it will help us evaluate and decide how to continue developing and improving this interface, extend it to other wikis, or change our approach.
