Report concerning 鍾顓儒

鍾顓儒 (talk • contribs • deleted contribs • logs • filter log • block user • block log • GUC)Reasons: A bunch of apparent test pages created here. 9 deleted contributions at mediawiki. Vandalism to 1 task at phabricator. Quiddity (talk) 00:47, 1 August 2017 (UTC)

Yes check.svg Blocked for 31 hours. Let's see if he/she is able to contribute in a good way when the block ends, if not we'll block him/her for a longer period. Thanks for reporting. Syum90 (talk) 08:15, 1 August 2017 (UTC)

Delete js

Please, could someone delete User:Superchilum/civvi.js, which was a test and it is now useless? Thank you :) --Superchilum(talk to me!) 06:48, 3 August 2017 (UTC)

Done. --MF-W 11:03, 3 August 2017 (UTC)

Cancellation of wrong page

Hi all, may someone cancel this page. It has been created by mistake instead of that of "limited adminship". --Ilario (talk) 14:29, 12 August 2017 (UTC)

I think MassMessage sender should be enough for your purposes. Not all MassMessage senders have rights on temporarily basis. I am positive giving the right to you, I will wait a little bit so that people could comment though. --Base (talk) 14:45, 12 August 2017 (UTC)

Could someone help fix the translation errors with Template:Welcomeip?

It's a mess. PokestarFan ·Drink some tea and talk with me ·Stalk my edits ·I'm not shouting, I just like this font! 03:48, 12 August 2017 (UTC)

It is probably more appropriate to move it to the translation system rather than leverage on old methodology.  — billinghurst sDrewth 10:58, 13 August 2017 (UTC)

Grant MassMessage-sender permissions to Ilario

Given the above I move to grant Ilario massmessage sender permissions on this project for his WMCH work. Previously requested at Meta:Requests for limited adminship/Ilario. —MarcoAurelio (talk) 07:50, 14 August 2017 (UTC)

+1 from me. —MarcoAurelio (talk) 07:50, 14 August 2017 (UTC)
+1 I'm also agree.--Syum90 (talk) 08:44, 14 August 2017 (UTC)

I left a question to @Seddon (WMF): here informing him that MediaWiki:Centralnotice-template-Strategy2030 Phase1Prop banner is locked and impossible for anyone to translate. 24 hours has past and the banner is still untranslated, in English only on a Welsh language Wiki. He is not responding, therefore can someone please unlock it or remove it from cywiki asap? Thanks. Llywelyn2000 (talk) 08:49, 16 August 2017 (UTC)

@Llywelyn2000: Hi. I'm not sure what's happening with that banner. In User talk:Syum90#Banner I asked him for a translation. It didn't appeared, it did later and now it's blank... In any case could you please try https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=CNBanner:Strategy2030_Phase1Prop-stratproptext1/cy&action=edit and add the translation there? I can try to set it as published later. Regards, —MarcoAurelio (talk) 11:40, 16 August 2017 (UTC)
@MarcoAurelio: Many thanks! just traslated. Llywelyn2000 (talk) 12:26, 16 August 2017 (UTC)
Published. Let's hope it works this time... —MarcoAurelio (talk) 13:13, 16 August 2017 (UTC)

Hallo. There are 3 mis-located translation pages. Please move (without leaving a redirect):

Request for an account on the Foundation wiki

This page is full of bad requests. I propose that this page should be inddefinitely semi-protected. In addition, I propose to create an abuse filter to disallow requests from users with zero local edits or with no specified e-mail address or reason.--GZWDer (talk) 03:06, 29 August 2017 (UTC)

This would make sense, but shouldn't you first discuss it with the people using this page ? @JSutherland (WMF): ping =) --AntonierCH(d) 04:13, 29 August 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for the ping, AntonierCH! @GZWDer: Honestly, I'm not really that bothered by them, they don't take long to answer and as such aren't a huge time-sink. I think it is not impossible for someone with zero local edits to get an account on the Foundation wiki (e.g. a new head of communications for a chapter). Just my opinion on it :) Joe Sutherland (Wikimedia Foundation) (talk) 07:38, 29 August 2017 (UTC)
IMO it is WMF's page and they can manage it and make requests of the community as requested. We could have it so that user_emailconfirm is required to get an account.  — billinghurst sDrewth 12:28, 29 August 2017 (UTC)
Thank you | for your input, I am glad that you could reply quickly. @Billinghurst: This is surely not a good idea, as far as I know, having an email account linked has never (or almost never) been a requirement to contribute to Wikimedia Projects. --AntonierCH(d) 13:01, 29 August 2017 (UTC)
Sure, clearly it is used in association with other components. Noting that there are certain roles where email addresses are required, and for chapter representation, I wouldn't have thought anyone would be able to undertake their role without an an email address.  — billinghurst sDrewth 14:34, 29 August 2017 (UTC)
@AntonierCH: No problem! @Billinghurst: This is a good point, and would probably filter strongly enough for those who are brand new accounts but whose role qualifies them. However, I think ultimately I'd like this page to remain pretty open – I could start reverting blank additions, though I think that's a little hard on those who file requests here without realising what an "account on the Foundation wiki" actually means. :) I don't think the volume of invalid requests is high enough to start enacting things like this.
