Hi! FYI I'm requesting and working on the patch to undo a change you requested some ages ago. It'd be good if you could give me your opinion, but since ipblock-exempt permissions can since some time be added and removed by all administrators at all projects I think that the current configuration at Meta is a bit redundant. Service: New "right" required - IPblock exempt. Now that the permission can be added and removed by sysops on all wikis to all users I felt that the current config was kind of redundant since noone can be a 'crat here without being an admin, and the chances of being a CU here without being an admin are close to 0. That page was not, and never was protected as far as I can see. Maybe an abusefilter was triggered. Maybe Herby, you may be interested in using Synchbot to delete your old userpages crosswiki (in light of mw:Extension:GlobalUserPage) as well old Javascript/CSS local pages (in light of mw:Extension:GlobalCssJs). FWIW I have written c:Special:AbuseFilter/147 — monitoring only at this stage — to try to capture that garbage. Cannot say that I will be overly monitoring, but will try to keep an eye on it. Hello. I’ve come across a few accounts which have obvious company names and some of them have been blocked elsewhere but they haven’t done any edits at Meta. I thought it might be useful to keep a list of them but wanted your advice about whether there is a page where I should/could list them. Ooo nice list :). The surprise I guess is that it is quite short! Anyway - now you are one of the "gods" you can do what you like with them...

There was a time when, if an account was blocked on more than one wiki, it would be globally locked without much concern. That said I saw a few locks recently where only one wiki was abused so times change.

Personally I am completely intolerant of any abuse of Wikimedia projects so I might be rather stringent but that is probably why I tend to sink rather than rise.

Certainly worth watching/adding to. If any other thoughts strike me I'll drop you a further note anyway.
