- This is the part of a series of community consultation pages. The WMF Community Advocacy team has put together a list at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/2016_Strategy/Translations. We're hoping to launch the consultation on January 18th. Realizing getting all translations in place before the launch of the consultation may not be possible (and that people will likely help with translations after the launch), I'd be really grateful for any assistance especially that you can give in translating the templates at that Meta page link, like this one. It'll probably be harder for casual translators to help out with those!

- Text should be stable at this point. I've just made what I hope will be the last modification to those pages!

I have asked the question on Wikimedia-tech IRC and someone just change the bot flag. (bot) Ajraddatz changed user rights for Jnanabot@orwiki from (none) to bot with the following comment: srb request . SO now it's not displaying. Вопрос[edit]

Здраствуйте уважаемый Ruslik0. Я был бессрочно заблокирован в армянской Википедии в июле 2015 года админом с которым я имел конфликт можно говорить в 4-х википроектах. По закону армянской Википедии админ, который имеет открытий конфликт с участникам не имеет право заблокировать его. Один из админов Лилит говорит, что она за снятия блока, другой админ Давид Сароян говорит, что он не хочет комментировать этот конфликт, все остальные админы кроме двух, можно говорить тоже ничего не говорят по этому поводу. А админ который меня заблокировал грозит уйти из Википедии, если будут снимать мой блок, там еще 3-4 участника есть, которые нападают на всех, кто в пользу меня что-то говорит, начинают даже обсуждать их личную жизнь. Даже один из них говорит, что этот админ как воин не должен уйти из поле битвы. Я им говорю давайте мириться во имя Википедии, но они не хотят. Если в этом проекте нету Арбитража и не работают законы, что я могу сделать? Кстати я сейчас админ в армянском Викицитатнике --6AND5 (talk) 17:33, 8 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Вы должны принять во внимания, что возможность стюардов по разрешению подобных проблем очень ограничены. Мы не являемся глобальными арбитрами и не может произвольно отменять решения администратров проектов (за исключением чрезвычайных ситуаций). Ruslik (talk) 20:58, 8 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
И что мне делать? Один из бывших админов Ерджаник говорит, что я должен поехать в штаб Викимедии Армении, чтобы сняли блок, самое интересное, что до начало этого конфликта (в январе 2015 года), глава этой организации пригласила меня встретится, но как говорят в народе суббота пришла раньше пятницы. И я не хочу поехать туда. Вот закон, по которой админ имея конфликт не имеет право блокировать участника -Wikipedia/Poll/Block и по-моему это чрезвычайная ситуация...--6AND5 (talk) 22:21, 8 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Спасибо за искренний ответ, меня так сказали 3 админа армянской Википедии, что надо ждать и работать на других проектах, но время показывает, что все наоборот работает... Удаление глобальной учетной записи Abybulo Harnishe, которая стала больше не нужна[edit]

Доброго времени суток.

У меня есть две глобальные учетные записи. Одна из них User:Victor Manohin - основная, другая User:Abybulo Harnishe - дополнительная. Об этом сейчас прямо объявлено на их глобальных страницах участника на Мета-вики и ранее было объявлено на их локальных страницах участника в русской Википедии.

В связи с бессрочной блокировкой основной учетной записи в русской Википедии там была одновременно заблокирована также и дополнительная. Причиной блокировки дополнительной было указано нарушение правил использования нескольких учетных записей (без конкретизации). Возможно, что на самом деле (и это моё искреннее мнение) блокировка дополнительной записи реально обоснована только тем, что была заблокирована основная, поскольку никаких нарушений в использовании дополнительной лично я не заметил. Но дело теперь уже не в этом.

Мне бы очень хотелось совсем удалить эту дополнительную учетную запись , а сделанный с нее небольшой вклад приписать или к тем IP-адресам, с которых эти правки делались, или к основной учетной записи User:Victor Manohin. Я согласен даже полностью и безвозвратно удалить весь свой вклад, сделанный с учетной записи User:Abybulo Harnishe, поскольку никакой ценности он ни для меня, ни для Википедии, на мой взляд, больше не представляет.

В итоге, я прошу Вас удалить, если это технически возможно, одну из моих учетных записей User:Abybulo Harnishe или рекомендовать мне - куда и как по этому поводу следует обратиться. С уважением Abybulo Harnishe (talk) 21:51, 27 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Блокировка всегда распространяется на конкретного пользователя, а не на учётные записи. Поэтому при блокировке пользователя как правило блокируются все учётные записи принадлежащие этому пользователю. Что касается вашей просьбы, то это технически невозможно сделать. О блокировке пользователя (включая и блокировку его IP-адресов, и запрет на создание новых учетных записей как с этих, так и с других IP-адресов), а не только блокировке одной из его учетных записей, у меня и раньше было ясное понимание. Удалить вторую учетную запись хотелось ещё до блокировки и независимо от блокировки. Просто в связи с блокировкой это стало более актуально: чтобы не было по этому поводу лишних вопросов при разблокировании. Из правил я также знал, что учетные записи удалить нельзя, но не было полной уверенности, что это не возможно именно технически. Теперь получил от Вас полную ясность по этому поводу, за что спасибо. Остается еще вариант глобальной блокировки учетной записи User:Abybulo Harnishe (но только её одной) по просьбе самого пользователя, то есть по моей. И такую просьбу я теперь здесь выражаю в явном виде. Разумеется, если это технически возможно. Я так понимаю, что если эта учетка мне когда-нибудь всё-таки снова понадобится (например, гипотетически, когда-нибудь сам стану администратором), то тогда её можно будет снова глобально разблокировать. Ну а если её за это время даже кто-нибудь пожелает узурпировать (что вряд ли), то и против этого у меня возражений тоже нет. Victor Manohin (talk) 17:24, 28 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

ЧП! Неадекваты в укропедии[edit]

Добрый день! Я поставил плашку про ВП:НТЗ в украинской статье об оккупации Крыма. Статья действительно нарушает НТЗ ("террористы", "акт военной агрессии", "вражеское нападение"). Но уже через пять минут меня пожизненно забанил Участник:Yakudza, админ украинской википедии. Забанил вместе с IP, на вопрос с анонимного захода не отвечает. Проверьте пожалуйста и разбаньте, а заодно примите меры к неадеквату, прорвавшемуся в админы. Я, конечно, всё понимаю, украина, майдан, крымнаш, путинлоло и так далее, но не до такой же степени! А то, что вся укропедия покрыта русофобией, или наоборот урапатриотизмом, что (в принципе пофиг, но) противоречит НТЗ, и это очевидно всем, но админы неадекватны и делают вид, что всё в порядке, а всех несогласных банят, стоит только чихнуть. Request for Input - New Central Notice request process[edit]

Hello!

Back in February I emailed the CN-admin list regarding part of my role to look into the Central Notice process and see where we could make improvements including: the campaign process; its functionality or lack thereof; and fundamentally the documentation that supports it. You can see many of the issues that I identified at CentralNotice/Process_Review. If there is anything additional that you feel has been left out then please feel free to leave any comments on the talk page.

My first task is to improve the requesting of campaigns by communities and affiliates. I am looking to set up a more formal request process, similar to those used in many projects. The aim is to: increase the transparency of Central Notice; improve the support provided to affiliates (including making such support more consistent); to provide a forum for community input into campaigns.

I have been working on a very rough strawman version of the process and I would be interested in hearing you comments about what such a process should involve and what you think it would require. Please feel free to leave such comments at the process talk page section. I would like to have a working page in place by the end of May. This would not need to be a final version. The process can be improved upon over time as we learn about how well it works.

Long term contributions?[edit]

Hi Ruslik,

for my interwiki bot "UT-interwiki-Bot" I would like to request for the global bot flag, but I don't know what is meant by "long term contributions". Could you please give me a hint what exactly is meant? Is it a month or three months or even longer?

About a long-term cross wiki abuser[edit]

User:180.145.128.218 continue adding Japanese characters in many wiki projects, then remove it, again and again. here is details. It seems that it's the same man who vandal these articles[2][3][4][5][6][7][8] again and again before.

This guy vandal the article hak:Khiûn-ki Thi-fông again and again in hak Wikipedia around these days. You reject my lock request in "Steward requests/Global", maybe you think the vandal is not serious. But, would you please set the article hak:Khiûn-ki Thi-fông semi-protected (there is no local admin in hak wp)? Ruslik, I find it rather strange that this new user suddenly appears on the scene after the accounts Νικόλας Παπαποστόλου (talk · contribs) (sock-master) and Ν.Π. (talk · contribs) (sock-puppet) have both been blocked indefinitely and globally for cross-wiki abuse, including threatening other users. I feel this new account may also be another sock-puppet. The user doesn't appear to be learning, and is creating multiple accounts so that they can continue their attack across the entire Wikimedia Community. I will apologise if Greek Scorpion is of no connection and is merely acting as a mediator for the owner of both the other accounts. And if that is the case, then a comment to Greek Scorpion. The user in question has been blocked indefinitely from Greek, German, and English Wikipedia for continued harassment, abusing editors, threatening editors, threatening administrators at en:Wiki. Further investigation noted that they also did the same actions across other language Wikis and even vandalism on Wikidata. So a full global lock was the only solution to prevent them from furthering their rampage, threatening attacks, hounding, and vandalism across the entire community. The fact they created a puppet account to attempt to evade the global lock, validates a strong case that they are definitely not here to contribute to the greater project. Round 2 Re-submission of Arc.heolo.gy proposal[edit]
