Just a note: this and this diff prove together that fi:Käyttäjä:Agony and fi:Käyttäjä:Harriv have identified themselves to the Wikimedia Foundation, since Cary Bass has confirmed this. –Ejs-80 19:56, 2 March 2008 (UTC) There is no need to have them listed here anymore. –Ejs-80 11:38, 3 March 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Someone should fix this page, as two sections overlap. I would do it myself, but I have no idea how to. Thanks, Genius101 20:55, 1 March 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Uh, I don't see it. What 2 sections? --FiliP × 20:56, 1 March 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

There is a {{steward}} template on the far right of the page that appears to be overlapping the header at the top, as well as other sections. It was just added by Pathoschild earlier today. Risker 21:43, 1 March 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

It doesn't overlap any text and that's what matters. It hovers/floats on the right, thus overlapping with the frame of that ASCII art figure, which is not really important. --FiliP × 21:48, 1 March 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
In my screen it overlaps the text, probably because it is not very big. --SMP (talk page) 13:24, 2 April 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Header ASCII art

{{editprotected}} I like it, but it isn't centred on any monitor except the one it was written on, and runs off the edge of my screen. Can an admin please replace it with the code below (including the pre tags)?

| For Steward requests/Permissions, |

HaeB is missing now because of template mistake

{{editprotected}} There's a mistake in this chapter: Identification noticeboard#H. Since February 5th and this edit, User:HaeB isn't anymore on the page as User:Hoch auf einem Baum and neither as HaeB. There's just missing a "/" in the template, can anyone add that, please? Thanks. --Geitost diskusjon 13:51, 1 March 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Thanks for informing us. I've fixed that mistake. Barras talk 13:53, 1 March 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Users authorized to add to the identification noticeboard

Given that Mr. Bass is leaving to pursue other opportunities, who is the staffer responsible for updating this page after this month, or is that data not yet announced? Kylu 19:43, 13 August 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Cary leaves as volunteer coordinator? I think we'll get the information about the new one doing his job via the foundation-l or something. -Barras 20:06, 13 August 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
The responsibility for this noticeboard hasn't yet been announced... Cary did a crazy wide variety of things, of course, so it's taking a bit to figure out who owns what part of them. Philippe (WMF) 00:35, 14 August 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Also, I'm on the staff of the Foundation until December 31. You should feel secure knowing that we'll be able to figure this out in plenty of time. Bastique ☎ call me! 03:38, 14 August 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
*whew* - I really don't envy whoever ends up leading the team that does your job. ;) Kylu 03:46, 14 August 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Given the big warning at the top it's probably better to ask first. I think it would be appropriate to add confirmation diffs for users Agony and Harriv to the list. This noticeboard did not yet exist at the time, but the users have provided identification and should therefore be on the list. Jafeluv 12:24, 27 June 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

AFAIK, they'll need to resend their identifications in if it's not on the list. Cbrown1023 talk 15:55, 27 June 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
That's a fair comment Casey, however if you look at those 2 diffs and this diff, this one (I think), [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], [7], [8] etc you can see that it seems that diffs were the way users were previously confirmed. Having said that, if we want to use the template on the Identification page and be 100% sure that the confirmation wasn't for something else, then we'd need an edit from Philippe or others on the Identification noticeboard. The Helpful One 21:18, 27 June 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
It's fine with me if you add those two diffs diffs, Jafeluv. Thanks for checking. Philippe (WMF) 00:15, 28 June 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Okay, added now. Thanks! Jafeluv 15:16, 29 June 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]

More should be protected

The main page is protected, but not the templates, like Identification noticeboard/header. They should be in order to be consistent.

Cantons-de-l'Est 16:36, 4 February 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Agreed, thanks for letting us know - fully protected. :-) The Helpful One 16:17, 11 February 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Multiple times identified?

I noticed this identification, which is the same user as this identification (the account is globally renamed). And what about this one? That account is renamed as well, together with more probably. Any suggestions how to solve this? Remove the previous ones or just change the name? Input is appreciated. Kind regards, Trijnstel 20:52, 8 February 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

As far as I am aware, this is intentionally done by Philippe, I'll ask him to comment. The Helpful One 16:20, 11 February 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Intentionally done. :) Philippe (WMF) 00:58, 12 February 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Should I be in the list?

I have checkuser flags at es@wiki since I can remember(before potty training, yes) and I guess this list wasn't there when I got it. Should I be in it? Who can add me? Alhen (talk) 16:14, 9 June 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Have you ever sent your identity to the Wikimedia Foundation? If not, please follow the instructions at Notification that identification is required to send your identity in, then Philippe, Maggie, Daisy or James will be able to add you to the list. Best, The Helpful One 16:28, 9 June 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
The noticeboard was created on 23 January 2008. You got your CU bit on 26 September 2007. Existing Oversighters and Checkusers were not added to the new noticeboard. Maybe before this date policy didn't require identification? QU TalkQu 18:25, 9 June 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
True, but now it is required. All existing CUs and oversighters were asked to identify themselves at the time iirc. Trijnsteltalk 18:28, 9 June 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
According to this identification requirements were in place before you got your CU bit. So either you were identified but as it pre-dated the noticeboard it wasn't publicly recorded or there was a mistake! QU TalkQu 18:29, 9 June 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yes, you'll need to identify, please. Thank you for bringing it up. If you previously did, we no longer have it, because ID is destroyed post-identification, so I would ask that you submit it again, following the linked instructions. We process these fairly quickly - always within 24 hours, usually much, much, faster. Philippe (WMF) (talk) 18:32, 9 June 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
"(...) to es:User:Alhen which has already identified to the Foundation, as Cary confirmed this morning". He was never added to the list? Trijnsteltalk 18:33, 9 June 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
He identified 25th September 2007. The identification noticeboard was created 23rd January 2008‎. --Krenair (talkcontribs) 18:35, 9 June 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yeah, but I can't find an edit of Cary where he confirms this either... Trijnsteltalk 18:36, 9 June 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
If we can find a confirming edit by Cary, I'm find with just adding him. But otherwise, as much as I have full confidence in drini, I'd need a re-identification. Philippe (WMF) (talk) 20:41, 9 June 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Is Jamesn (WMF) legit? He has yet to identify. Is there a new WMF employee called jamesn? Mysterytrey (talk) 15:02, 8 August 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

On broader topic, shouldn't anyone with suffix "(WMF)" be on this list? Bennylin 15:19, 8 August 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
The account is indef blocked on en.wp with the reason "impersonation". Suggest you check with the staff mailing list. QU TalkQu 21:58, 8 August 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Aren't "(WMF)" accounts usually created by another "(WMF)" account? I thought that they were, but am not positive - however that would be a good indication that they're legitimate. Rjd0060 (talk) 22:00, 8 August 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Perhaps "(WMF)" should be added to the title blacklist for account creation preventing anyone except an admin from creating them. QU TalkQu 22:16, 8 August 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
They were on the title blacklist IIRC, but they were removed soon thereafter because of problems with auto-creation. Trijnsteltalk 22:19, 8 August 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Wrong diff

Shouldn't User:Aphaia's diff be 1131637, instead of 1131635? --whym (talk) 14:54, 22 June 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I have corrected this, thanks for reporting. --MF-W 15:09, 22 June 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hi I sent my ID a few days ago to get verified so I can resume my involvement on en.WP:ACC but I haven't heard anything. The Admins on the tool are awaiting this verification, thanks. — BranStark (talk) 10:07, 18 April 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

It was just added :-) Ajraddatz (talk) 20:05, 18 April 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@Ajraddatz: I have also sent ID twice on May 12 and May 15 but did not hear any response. Samee (talk) 07:42, 16 May 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Ping Jalexander-WMF re above; I think he's the staffer that handles identification. Ajraddatz (talk) 04:38, 17 May 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I'm on vacation at the moment, however @Philippe (WMF): can look into it. Thanks Samee Jalexander--WMF 06:43, 17 May 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Identification questions and answers

Page Identification questions and answers has been unchanged for four years and seems to have little useful content. Is it a formal complement to this board or should it be deleted? Rogol Domedonfors (talk) 06:45, 4 July 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
