Request to unprotect Grants discussion page

I am trying to post comments on the discussion page of this grant, but it seems to be protected from vandalism. When I try to create the page it says, "You do not have permission to create this discussion page, for the following reason: The title "Grants talk:Project/Rapid/Wikimedia UG Nigeria/ Monthly Meetups April-Sept 2018/Report" has been banned from creation. It matches the following blacklist entry: .*\bnig+er.*" Can you please help to unprotect it? Als Bürokrat auf bs.wiki beantrage ich Löschen der Benutzerseite von Benutzer:GBL. Diese Seite kolidiert mit Grundprinzipien von Wikipedia und ist eine seichte politisch-propagandistiche Ausdruck! Benutzer wurde heute von mir gewarnt und hingewiesen auf diese problematische Seite, mit Frist bis morgen. Anonsten wird er auf eine unbegrenzte Zeit blockiert! Benutzer ist schon in letzten Zeit mehrmals blockiert: (s. hier!) wegen Vandalismus, persönlichen Beleidigungen, Veröffenltichung privaten Daten..., und im März 2018. wurden ihm, wegen politische Revisionismus, Blockade Bürokraten ohne Diskusion, Chauvinismus... New Wikimedia password policy and requirements

Please help translate to your language

The Wikimedia Foundation security team is implementing a new password policy and requirements. You can learn more about the project on MediaWiki.org.

These new requirements will apply to new accounts and privileged accounts. New accounts will be required to create a password with a minimum length of 8 characters. Privileged accounts will be prompted to update their password to one that is at least 10 characters in length.

These changes are planned to be in effect on December 13th. If you think your work or tools will be affected by this change, please let us know on the talk page.

When listing vandals, please stop straight user wikilinking

Hi to all. When adding a block request for vandals to this page, I suggest that we stop wikilinking them so they don;t get a ping the vandal then come here and revert. Request for new edit filter regarding blanking content of meta-wiki project pages

At the recent timeline, on Meta-Wiki the ways to blank content (as such they did on Meta:Babel etc.) is currently underway and persistent. I would request from administrators to set new edit filter in order to prevent further blanking content pages by unregistered or non-autoconfirmed users. Billinghurst, not such action yet from disallowing them because someone can remove +1000-50000 bytes or so all of content page, that really is about Special:AbuseFilter/7. Removing data is similar to, though not the same as, blanking a page.

We know that we have vandals, and an assortment of other a$$holes who like to add variety to our day. Setting up filters is never going to stop them, it is just going to dynamically change their behaviour. We can moderate and ameliorate their behaviour only. Take a look, see log actions they especially vandals can be able to empty most contents of Meta-Wiki pages, in most common case also non-autoconfirmed registered users can also manage to remove contents page (see examples: 496278, 492356 and 494468). In order to see what happens, have they with administrator rights to opt Prevent the user from performing the action in question in filter 7 configuration, so it will disallow anyone to remove all content data as well in User talk pages, such as Meta namespace, etc. 109.102.200.54 05:29, 21 December 2018 (UTC)

Looks like honestly, someone doesn't care about this situation. Blanking content of pages that doesn't hitting the abuse filters at Meta-Wiki are underway problematic and very frequent or disruptive and other wikis had an progressive point to stop vandals (mostly unregistered) to take ordinary effects of blanking content pages. @Cohaf: you are familiar with such case. There are ways to resolve problems of edit privileges which are in sight, so it need implementation of disallow of blanking content of pages by anonymous/non-autoconfirmed users as of current timeline. I can't discuss now other than WMF policies which maybe are plausible understanding rules. But, if is helpful, then editors must be careful before doing good faith. You have had your opinion, on multiple occasions. It has been explained to you on these multiple occasions that it is unnecessary, and also determined for problematic for that filter.

I believe that I have sufficient experience in these matters to make the call. If you want to operate abuse filters, then get an account, get the confidence and consensus of the community to be an administrator, and then you can assist. You don't get to keep banging on. Request for rollbacker permission

Dear sysops,

I don't follow your thinking to your conclusion. I also think jumping to a global lock was pretty harsh, and especially when they are here feeling exploited. When we regularly wear the abuse/spam/vandalism repair-hat, we sometimes forget about AGF. As inconvenient as this AG mantra can be, we need to own it as if we get it wrong 1 times in 10, then we are more than losing a possible good editor, we are quite probably are creating an enemy. If you look at our stickiest vandals, they are usually spurned editors, who have their little vendettas due to having the door slammed in their faces. So please try the AGF hat here at meta, and only ask for locks where they are known and consistent abusers; if unsure, then don't.  — billinghurst sDrewth 11:58, 26 December 2018 (UTC)

I'll put my request in other words. There's a page called Strategy/Wikimedia movement/2017/Direction. It's pretty important, so it has been protected. I wouldn't have asked here, if I had sysop permissions on Meta.
On top of that page, there's a notice in a "notice" template. Info given in that notice is outdated. It suggests that November 2017 is a future period, while in fact, more than a year has passed since that date. It also suggests that 2017 Strategy Process is undergoing, while in fact, it's 2018-20. I have prepared an update in my sandbox, and I hereby ask to copy, paste, and save. Thank you. Please don't hesitate to raise doubts if you have any.
