Heritage Walk in 175 year old Pune Nagar Vachan Mandir library[edit]

CIS-A2K recently partnered with Pune Nagar Vachan Mandir (PNVM) and Heritage Club of H. V. Desai College for a Heritage Walk in the iconic 175-year-old library in Pune. It was supported by Bharat Vikas Group (BVG), the event saw an impressive turnout of 100+ attendees, showcasing overwhelming community interest. During the two-hour walk, participants engaged in a Wikimedia session, emphasizing the importance of digitization and relicensing.

As part of our ongoing collaboration with PNVM, we've already digitized and uploaded 1000 rare books to Wikimedia Commons. Additionally, our partnership with Heritage Club aims to create thematic content on the history of Maharashtra. 2023 A2K Needs Assessment Event[edit]

The 2023 A2K Needs Assessment Event was held as part of WikiConverse India calls, with a dynamic participation of 20 community members. During this engaging session, attendees had the opportunity to share valuable suggestions and opinions, directly contributing to the shaping of A2K's future initiatives. The event featured insightful discussions, including an introduction to the call, a presentation on A2K's Last 10 Years, an open discussion for participants to express their views, and a survey shared by A2K to gather input. Train The Trainer Report[edit]

A2K, committed to knowledge sharing, recently hosted its eight Train-the-Trainer (TTT) event, showcasing its dedication to innovation from 2013 to 2020. The TTT program emphasizes experiential learning, immersing participants in hands-on activities to empower them with practical skills. This approach, rooted in "learning by doing," effectively enhances capabilities within the Wikimedia movement. Notably, the workshop addresses biases—whether conscious or unconscious—to foster inclusive and diverse communities.
