Relicensing of Konkani & Marathi books[edit]

CIS-A2K has started working on this concept in Goa state in partnership with authors, copyright holders, academic institutes and language organisations. First Jnanapith awardee author in Konkani, Ravindra Kelekar's 20 books were relicensed by his son Girish at Priyol in Goa. On 27 August, his death anniversary, the first batch of 6 books was uploaded on Wikimedia Commons. Lek Ladki Abhiyan's centre did the digitisation at Satara. Ravindra kelekar was a renowned Gandhian activist, writer, thinker and freedom fighter. He worked relentlessly for Goa liberation and the Konkani language movement. Inauguration of Digitised O Bharat volumes on Wikimedia Commons by CM of Goa state[edit]

On the 75th Independence day, the Chief Minister of Goa inaugurated the digitized volumes of the 100-year-old O Bharat newspaper and a collection of selected editorials from O Bharat on Wikimedia Commons. The different media houses covered the event in the newspapers. The news mentions the support of CIS-A2K and Wikimedia Foundation, the stakeholders who worked on the project. Meeting with Rashtrabhasha Prachar Samiti on Hindi Books Digitisation Program[edit]

Rashtrabhasha Prachar Samiti is a pioneering organisation established by Mahatma Gandhi in 1936 to promote the Hindi language in India. It has its head office in Wardha and Maharashtra state office in Pune. The Pune office members visited the digitisation project at Pune Nagar Vachan Mandir and have invited CIS-A2K to initiate a collaborative project to digitise Hindi books. They have a large repository of rare and reference value public domain books. Impact report[edit]

CIS-A2K is working on the impact report for 2022. The work on the impact report is going on and the report will be submitted at the end of September. In this report, A2K will write the previous year's work and the impact of those activities.

Gujarati Wikisource Community skill-building workshop[edit]

CIS-A2K will conduct an advanced level Wikisource workshop, continuous sustainable road maps, future plan, and GLAM development towards Wikisource project in respective languages. The series of Wikisource Community skill-building is going on. The first workshop was conducted for Punjabi Wikisource Community Skill-building, the second workshop was organised for the Assamese Wikisource Community skill-building workshop and the third one is going to be organised from 24 to 26 September for the Gujarati Wikisource community.
