This is not a vote and any active Wikimedia editor may participate in the discussion.
Global rollback and global interface editor requests require no fewer than 5 days of discussion while abuse filter helper and maintainer requests require no fewer than 7 days. Global renamer and global sysop requests require no fewer than 2 weeks of discussion. For requests that are unlikely to pass under any circumstances, they may be closed by a steward without further discussion (after a reasonable amount of input).
Please note that Global rollbackers discussions are not votes. Comments must present specific points in favor of or against a user's approval.

Hello! I would like to request the global rollback permission. I have been reverting vandalism and spam globally with SWViewer, and having rollback would help in cases where the same user has vandalized several different projects and edits must be reverted manually; I generally use Twinkle Global for that, but sometimes I run into issues with it (I need to enter a captcha, or reversion is disallowed because I have never edited that wiki before). I am already a rollbacker in three projects (enwiki, eswiki and wikidata), so I am aware that it should be used only for clear vandalism and not for editing disputes. <Hi, would like to apply since i often use a VPN to access sites normally blocked for people from the EU due to lacking regard for GDPR compliance. This includes, as a relevant example, many American news sources for usage as part of my work on Wikipedia. Even if I have not used them yet, I very much intend to on the en-wiki. I know i am quite new and have done mostly small edits and copyediting or recently a translation to German on meta-wiki (see IP block exempt). Earlier today, while attempting to correct some spelling and grammar mistakes on an article in the German Wikipedia, I suddenly received a message about being blocked for 1 year due to usage of an open proxy. I quickly switched off the VPN, after which I could not find that block or notfication anymore. I first went to the local Administrator ’s site for requests of that Wiki, the de-wiki, and posted my request there, where an Admin (specifically Johannnes89 recomended me to instead apply here, see this thread >, thanks, --Gameknighter (talk) 17:56, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
