This page hosts requests for global permissions. To make a request, read the relevant policy (global rollback , global sysop , global rename , …) and make a request below. Explain why membership is needed for that group, and detail prior experience or qualifications.

This is not a vote and any active Wikimedia editor may participate in the discussion.

Global rollback and global interface editor requests require no fewer than 5 days of discussion while abuse filter helper and maintainer requests require no fewer than 7 days. Global renamer and global sysop requests require no fewer than 2 weeks of discussion. For requests that are unlikely to pass under any circumstances, they may be closed by a steward without further discussion (after a reasonable amount of input).

Requests for global rollback permissions

Please be sure to follow the instructions below:
Your request might be rejected if you don't follow the instructions, and not doing so would reflect poorly on your suitability.
Please also review the Global rollback policy.
Instructions for making a request

Before requesting, make sure that: You have sufficient activity to meet the requirements to be allocated the global rollback flag

To make a request
Copy the template below to the bottom of this section and explain of why you need the access and why you're suitable.
=== Global rollback for {{subst:u|{{subst:REVISIONUSER}}}} ===
{{sr-request
 |status    = <!-- don't change this line -->
 |domain    = global <!-- don't change this line -->
 |user name = {{subst:REVISIONUSER}} <!-- don't change this line unless you're nominating another user -->
}}
::''Not ending before {{subst:#time:j F Y H:i|+5 days}} UTC''

The request will be approved if consensus to do so exists after a period of consideration of no less than 5 days (with rare exceptions , no matter how obvious the result may seem). This is not a vote, and all input is welcome. Stewards will determine whether consensus exists; when doing so it is likely that the weight given to the input of those involved in cross-wiki work will be most influential.

Global rollback for Vincent Vega

Not ending before 1 November 2022 12:24 UTC

Hello. I contribute trwiki (sysop, CU), wikidata and meta (GR). Also I am using SWViewer for monitoring small wikis and reverting vandalism. Especially I need this flag for small wikis which I did not get any confirmed rights. Sometimes I get trouble. Thanks for your comments. Vincent Vega msg? 12:24, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Of course it is Yahya I am an active renamer. The problem is when I try to use SWViewer I can not revert vandalism. So that times I needed this flag, especially on small wikis. I am using it when I available not always. If you say these edits are not too much, I can understand. Vincent Vega msg? 17:18, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You don't need rollback permission for using SWViewer. Stang 18:40, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yes I know, because I have used tool for a bit more than 1 year. But in some wikis especially small ones I can not revert edits via SWViewer. Nowadays these errors' frequency rised, that's why I am here. My intention is avoiding abuse filter preventation or CAPTCHA validation. Vincent Vega msg? 18:48, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Trapped by AF could be a valid reason, and thanks for your clarification here. Stang 18:52, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Welcome and thanks for your assistance/comment @Stang:. I am explaning myself more clearly with your opinion. Vincent Vega msg? 19:01, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

2FA Tester for Saklad5

I want to add a passkey (that is, WebAuthn) to my account as a second-factor, in lieu of the ability to use it as a primary factor. Due to the nature of passkeys, I am not at risk of losing the key anymore than than I am of losing my password. See this task for context on that.--Saklad5 (talk) 18:08, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Saklad5, as per our requirement, please confirm whether you have read Help:Two-factor authentication. Thank you. --Base (talk) 00:21, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I did. 2600:1700:5290:1610:65A8:1D06:F056:C29 12:45, 28 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, wasn't logged in for some reason. I did. Saklad5 (talk) 12:46, 28 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
NB: For WebAuthn, if your physical authentication device (i.e. Yubikey) is lost or broken, it's really troublesome to get it reset. Stang 18:37, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
That's the thing: I'm not using a single physical authentication device. I'm using a passkey. The technical term is "multi-device FIDO credential". Saklad5 (talk) 12:49, 28 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Done -- Amanda (she/her) 16:27, 29 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
