Create local account and IP block exemption on zhwiki and enwiki

My IP got blocked per the web-host policy, but I use a private VPN and it is the only way to contribute in an oppressive state. How do I get past this abuse filter?

I was trying to make my global userpage here. The content includes some css code and also my links to my profiles on other wikis. Request for patroller right

I would like to request the patroller right as it allows me to revert nonsense edits and vandalism more effectively, and I would never use rollback to revert good faith edits and edit war (the autopatroller right is not needed after granting the patroller right), nor would I use the patrol option to mark bad edits as patrolled. AbuseFilter global rule 69

Hi!

In Special:AbuseFilter/69 there's a part

page_namespace = (2|3)

which is equivalent to

page_namespace = 2

(@Billinghurst). I guess you actually want:

equals_to_any(page_namespace, 2, 3),

Apply for rollback rights

Hi,

I've been a CN admin since 2017 and since then became more and more active on Meta. Especially for Gendergap- and Movement Charter activities I notice the increase of inappropriate or spam-like edits, and other talkpages of the landing pages in CN campaigns also can get unwanted edits. I wonder if it could be helpful for me to have the rollback right to easier revert these kind of edits.

Where to Talk about global rules in the AbuseFilter?

I did not find any page where I can talk about specific rules of the AbuseFilter or the AbuseFilter in general. For example I'd like to talk about a syntax error before fixing it. Of course I could use the user talk page of the creator of the rule, but i'd prefer a central place to go where people can transparently see discussions about the AbuseFilter. Is there such a place? seth There is not a place. We have tended to just leave good notes in the notes and inline, with the occasional prod on a user talk page. We are usually less interested in content at the global level, as it is typically anti-spam and the anti-LTA, and they are without blocking actions.

As the global filters have now expanded in their scope it may be time that we mimic the best example for us of what is used around the other wikis. — billinghurst sDrewth 21:23, 1 August 2023 (UTC)

There have been requests regarding global abuse filters on Talk:AbuseFilter [1] and Talk:Global AbuseFilter [2] (where @Daimona Eaytoy has asked for clarification on how to suggest changes as well), but both talk pages don't seem to be the right place to discuss changes.

If we don't expect a large amount of filter changes to be discussed, now that global filters are enabled almost everywhere, I think RFH or SN are fine (+mailing lists / wikimail for discussing private details). If we expect a larger amount of changes to be discussed, creating a page like en:WP:EFN might be useful. Johannnes89 (talk) 09:09, 2 August 2023 (UTC)

Request MassMessage Sender rights

I'm currently the main editor of RAW (w:fr:Wikipédia:RAW), à community newsletter about the Wikimedia movement in French language.

Right now, we use w:fr:Utilisateur:OrlodrimBot to send the message to all subscribers. This is fine but it is restricted to people using fr.wikipedia.org. I would like to send the message to people working in any Wikimedia project (fr.wiktionary.org, fr. wikivoyage.org, etc). So I would like to test MassMessage.
