This page hosts requests for global permissions. To make a request, read the relevant policy (global rollback, global sysop, global rename, …) and make a request below. Explain why membership is needed for that group, and detail prior experience or qualifications.
This is not a vote and any active Wikimedia editor may participate in the discussion.
Successful global rollback requests require no fewer than 5 days of discussion, successful global renamer requests require no fewer than 3 days (if the user is a bureaucrat) or 2 weeks (if the user is not a bureaucrat or if valid concerns are raised), while successful global sysop discussions require no fewer than 2 weeks.
Cross-wiki requests
Meta-Wiki requests

Requests for global rollback permissions

Please be sure to follow the instructions below:
Your request might be rejected if you don't follow the instructions, and not doing so would reflect poorly on your suitability.
Please also review the Global rollback policy.
Instructions for making a request

Before requesting, make sure that: You have sufficient activity to meet the requirements to be allocated the global rollback flag

To make a request
Copy the template below to the bottom of this section and explain of why you need the access and why you're suitable.
=== Global rollback for {{subst:u|{{subst:REVISIONUSER}}}} ===
{{sr-request
 |status    = <!-- don't change this line -->
 |domain    = global <!-- don't change this line -->
 |user name = {{subst:REVISIONUSER}} <!-- don't change this line unless you're nominating another user -->
}}
::''Not ending before {{subst:#time:j F Y H:i|+5 days}} UTC''

The request will be approved if consensus to do so exists after a period of consideration of no less than 5 days (other than requests that are unlikely to pass under any circumstances, no other exceptions are allowed , no matter how obvious the result may seem). This is not a vote, and all input is welcome. Stewards will determine whether consensus exists; when doing so it is likely that the weight given to the input of those involved in cross-wiki work will be most influential.

Global IP block exempt for Atcovi

Hey. I am Goldenburg111, now known as Atcovi. I currently have reviewer rights on Wikibooks and rollback on Simple Wiktionary. I have a global account as well. I edit at school, as well as home and other places. I'm always affected from global blocks that my IP has been getting, I can't even log into my account to edit. The last global block was from November 22 to December 22 from Billinghurst after my school IP vandalized Wikipedia, Wikisource, and went up to Wiktionary I believe. The students in my school know about Wikipedia and they usually mess around with wikipedia and the other projects as well. So I can stay away from these global blocks and be able to edit without having to be blocked for "abuse", in which I didn't do, I hope to recieve the Global IP Block Exempt so I can avoid any other global blocks in the future, thanks, --Atcovi (talk) 23:29, 31 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Not so sure about this outcome due to his, pretty recent (2013), history with sockpuppets, see here. Trijnsteltalk 20:07, 3 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Ruslik. Oh and Trijnstel I do apologize for that incident, but that was 2 years ago, isn't that a bit old? --Atcovi (talk) 20:11, 3 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Plus he as well did blank that report due to courtesy. --Atcovi (talk) 20:13, 3 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
BTW It doesn't seem like it has been added, is it not supposed to be added yet? --Atcovi (talk) 20:14, 3 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Now indeed done. Vogone (talk) 18:05, 4 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks @Vogone and Ruslik. Oh and thanks as well Trijnstel for bringing that matter up, I do apologize for it tho. :) Regards, --Atcovi (talk) 22:02, 4 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Global IP block exempt for Lwen1090

<Add an explanation here>, thanks, --Lwen1090 (talk) 00:53, 6 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Lwen1080: The block in place is a soft block, so as long as you are logged into your Wikimedia account, you should still be able to edit, so as such, this process is redundant for soft blocks.  — billinghurst sDrewth 12:47, 6 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Global IP block exempt for Pathoschild

I recently began using always-on anonymising proxies to improve privacy, but this means I run into global blocks placed against proxies. I think granting an IP block exemption to my account is safe and won't reduce the blocks' effectiveness in preventing anonymous abuse, since it would only apply when I'm logged in. —Pathoschild 16:18, 08 February 2015 (UTC)

Thanks! —Pathoschild 21:11, 09 February 2015 (UTC)

Global IP block exempt for odder

I would like to request the global IP block exemption for reasons similar to @User:Pathoschild; namely because I have recently taken to using technical means of protecting my on-line privacy and security as well as preventing third parties from using traffic analysis originating from my home; unfortunately, many of the end IP addresses are covered by global IP blocks which prevents me from editing Wikimedia wikis. As a Commons administrator, I already have the local ipblock-exempt user right which should help me avoid local blocks, if they occur. Thanks, odder (talk) 19:27, 8 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
