This page hosts requests for global permissions. To make a request, read the relevant policy (global rollback , global sysop , global rename , …) and make a request below. Explain why membership is needed for that group, and detail prior experience or qualifications.

This is not a vote and any active Wikimedia editor may participate in the discussion.

Global rollback and global interface editor requests require no fewer than 5 days of discussion while abuse filter helper and maintainer requests require no fewer than 7 days. Global renamer and global sysop requests require no fewer than 2 weeks of discussion. For requests that are unlikely to pass under any circumstances, they may be closed by a steward without further discussion (after a reasonable amount of input).

The request will be approved if consensus to do so exists after a period of consideration of no less than 5 days (with rare exceptions , no matter how obvious the result may seem). This is not a vote, and all input is welcome. Stewards will determine whether consensus exists; when doing so it is likely that the weight given to the input of those involved in cross-wiki work will be most influential.

Base, I had some edit wars with other editors because I didn't know the rules at that time. But the reason why they banned me was unacceptableby, the administrator of English Wikipedia thought I was another user's dummy account according to en:Wikipedia:The duck test. Hello! I am from China Mainland. Because zh.wikipedia.org is blocked on the China GFW, I cannot access Wikipedia without an open proxy or a VPN. I had, and will, only edit when there is some small minor errors. So, if you could give me a global IP block exempt, I would be very grateful. Hi all, I'm an active Wikipedia member since October 2010, especially for the German Wikipedia! I during the last one and a half years I was quite often blocked and than again unblocked, maybe because I have VPN connections for privacy. I'd like to kindly ask you to add my username to the global exemption list, it's really bothering me that I have to make frequently breaks in my Wikipedia work. Global IP block exempt for nobuts

Hi, I've been a registered editor since 2007, but currently I reside in China where Wikipedia is blocked, so I have to use a proxy/VPN to browse and edit here. I previously submitted a request when I was blocked while editing English Wikipedia and my request was granted and now I'm able to edit English Wikipedia. Today I wanted to minor-edit a translated page of Chinese Wikipedia and realized that my IP is blocked for Chinese Wikipedia, so I'm not sure if I need to request here for global permission. Global interface editor for Sophivorus

Hi! I'd like to request a renewal of my global-interface-editor permission. The main reason is because I maintain the ProveIt gadget on 40+ wikis. I haven't done many changes in the last few months but I have done several changes earlier in 2019 and I plan to do more in 2020. Furthremore, I'm working on other scripts that I hope to be able to spread to other wikis and promote to gadgets if the communities agree. Thanks!
