Change content model
Hello, I think that you can safely set the content type of Meta:AddMe/Config to JSON. It'll avoid this stranger render. Thanks --Framawiki (talk) 18:27, 16 June 2018 (UTC)
- I am not sure extension translate would like it. Have you tried this anywhere? --Base (talk) 19:38, 16 June 2018 (UTC)
- It does not work well with translate extension. Showing tags. If you are fine with this... — regards, Revi 13:56, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
Mark for translation
The content of Wikimedia User Group Hong Kong was updated quite a lot. Please help checking the translation markup and mark this revision for translation. Thank you. BTW. If I got the wrong place to request, please direct me. --J.Wong 02:29, 21 June 2018 (UTC)

Help with announcing a consultation
Hi, I'd like to call Creation of separate user group for editing sitewide CSS/JS to the communities' attention. That involves getting it translated, and sending out messages to the village pumps (see plan here). I'd like to request either a translationadmin's / massmessager's help, or the required permissions for a couple weeks. I'm a translation admin on mediawiki.org and occasionally send messages via the command-line version of MassMessage (which I can use as a developer with shell access; it is however not as useful for large-scale notifications like this) so I know how to use them.
Thanks! -- Tgr (talk) 17:51, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
- I feel that page should be a subpage of Requests for comments (but CSS/JS should be changed to CSS & JS or something else to avoid creating another subpage). Thanks. —MarcoAurelio (talk) 18:05, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
- I think there's an expectation that an RfC is a decisionmaking process while a consultation is not, which is why I tried to avoid calling it an RfC. --Tgr (talk) 16:41, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
- Community Consultation seems to be a doublespeak way of inviting an RfC. Killiondude (talk) 06:44, 25 June 2018 (UTC)

@Tgr and me have talked about this on #wikimedia-dev
today. This is not really a consultation but a notification that the changes are going to be implemented, but with the communities also able to post feedback on the changes. In my opinion, this should be clearly said in the introduction of the page to avoid people thinking this is a proposed technical decision.
About rights: Tgr asked me if I could grant him massmessage-sender and translationadmin permissions temporary for a month or so. I have no issues. I am filing Meta:Requests for translation adminship/Tgr. Ideally the permissions could be granted together to expire both at the same time. He requests two months.

User page needs deleting, user probably needs to be blocked
See User:Derpy world, pretty clearly vandalism.
Also, could I get some user rights? I don't expect to become an admin (like I am on en.wikipedia), but I had to come here because I was not allowed to tag the page with the delete template. Ian.thomson (talk) 01:36, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
- Your edits was triggered by the abuse filter #161, which was last modified by Billinghurst, I have tagged the user page to request for deletion. SA 13 Bro (talk) 06:19, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
- Earlier this day there was the exact same vandalism, so this is the person's second account. See Coedwig. XenrøsE 06:57, 24 June 2018 (UTC)

some troll or other
Note: This is EnglishEfternamn/RJCola and should be locked on sight. - TNT❤ 21:59, 25 June 2018 (UTC)
Is harassing me today. Most of it is on en.wp, but they used the email function here under the name “ForresterMax” to send me like 20 blank emails. Beeblebrox (talk) 00:26, 25 June 2018 (UTC)
- I locked the account. – Ajraddatz (talk) 00:34, 25 June 2018 (UTC)
- thank you! Beeblebrox (talk) 08:24, 25 June 2018 (UTC)
They are back as User:WikiHate, doing the same thing right now. They had a whole sockfarm stacked up at en.wp, it might be a good idea to cross check with CUs there, but it looks like this account was created just to send blank emails to me. Beeblebrox (talk) 21:47, 25 June 2018 (UTC)
- Now global locked by Rxy. SA 13 Bro (talk) 21:51, 25 June 2018 (UTC)
