Global IP block exempt for Atcovi
- Global user: Atcovi (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA)
Hey. I am Goldenburg111, now known as Atcovi. I currently have reviewer rights on Wikibooks and rollback on Simple Wiktionary. I have a global account as well. I edit at school, as well as home and other places. I'm always affected from global blocks that my IP has been getting, I can't even log into my account to edit. The last global block was from November 22 to December 22 from Billinghurst after my school IP vandalized Wikipedia, Wikisource, and went up to Wiktionary I believe. The students in my school know about Wikipedia and they usually mess around with wikipedia and the other projects as well. So I can stay away from these global blocks and be able to edit without having to be blocked for "abuse", in which I didn't do, I hope to recieve the Global IP Block Exempt so I can avoid any other global blocks in the future, thanks, --Atcovi (talk) 23:29, 31 January 2015 (UTC)

- Not so sure about this outcome due to his, pretty recent (2013), history with sockpuppets, see here. Trijnsteltalk 20:07, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks Ruslik. Oh and Trijnstel I do apologize for that incident, but that was 2 years ago, isn't that a bit old? --Atcovi (talk) 20:11, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
- Plus he as well did blank that report due to courtesy. --Atcovi (talk) 20:13, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
- BTW It doesn't seem like it has been added, is it not supposed to be added yet? --Atcovi (talk) 20:14, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
- Now indeed done. Vogone (talk) 18:05, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks @Vogone and Ruslik. Oh and thanks as well Trijnstel for bringing that matter up, I do apologize for it tho. :) Regards, --Atcovi (talk) 22:02, 4 February 2015 (UTC)

Global IP block exempt for Mjbmr
- Global user: Mjbmr (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA)
Please extend expiration, thank you. --Mjbmr (discussion • contribs) 20:02, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
- Previous requests can be found here and here. Trijnsteltalk 20:07, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
- Granted for 1 month to expire on 2015-03-11. — billinghurst sDrewth 09:53, 11 February 2015 (UTC)
- @Savh: @Billinghurst: Please make it permanent or remove it, I can't use it like this. Mjbmr (discussion • contribs) 10:22, 11 February 2015 (UTC)
- Granted for 1 month to expire on 2015-03-11. — billinghurst sDrewth 09:53, 11 February 2015 (UTC)
- In your first request you state you had to "use shared IPs for the next month". What has changed that makes this right yet again necessary? And why does it help you that much that instead of having to request renewal, you rather have it removed directly? Savhñ 21:43, 12 February 2015 (UTC)
- @Savh: I want to use TOR forever, ping me next time. Mjbmr (discussion • contribs) 13:56, 16 February 2015 (UTC)
Global IP block exempt for Lwen1090
- Global user: Lwen1090 (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA)
- Discussion: Hey there, I honestly do not know if I'm doing this right, or requesting this in the appropriate page. But I am not using a proxity, so am requesting that I be unblocked from Wiki. Cheers.
<Add an explanation here>, thanks, --Lwen1090 (talk) 00:53, 6 February 2015 (UTC)
- @Lwen1080: The block in place is a soft block, so as long as you are logged into your Wikimedia account, you should still be able to edit, so as such, this process is redundant for soft blocks. — billinghurst sDrewth 12:47, 6 February 2015 (UTC)
Global IP block exempt for Pathoschild
- Global user: Pathoschild (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA)
I recently began using always-on anonymising proxies to improve privacy, but this means I run into global blocks placed against proxies. I think granting an IP block exemption to my account is safe and won't reduce the blocks' effectiveness in preventing anonymous abuse, since it would only apply when I'm logged in. —Pathoschild 16:18, 08 February 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks! —Pathoschild 21:11, 09 February 2015 (UTC)
Global IP block exempt for odder
- Global user: Odder (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA)
I would like to request the global IP block exemption for reasons similar to @User:Pathoschild; namely because I have recently taken to using technical means of protecting my on-line privacy and security as well as preventing third parties from using traffic analysis originating from my home; unfortunately, many of the end IP addresses are covered by global IP blocks which prevents me from editing Wikimedia wikis. As a Commons administrator, I already have the local ipblock-exempt
user right which should help me avoid local blocks, if they occur. Thanks, odder (talk) 19:27, 8 February 2015 (UTC)

Global IP block exempt for Jim Carter
- Global user: Jim Carter (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA)
To enable online anonymity (privacy reason) I'm using TOR. Just like Pathoschild, I think it would be good if IP exemption is granted to my account. Thanks! Jim Carter (talk) 11:47, 16 February 2015 (UTC)
Yeah, me too, but check this out #Global IP block exempt for Mjbmr. Mjbmr (discussion • contribs) 13:54, 16 February 2015 (UTC)
