Hi everyone! I'm Streetdeck. I have been monitoring xwiki work by SWViewer for eight months. GR can make me do better and more easy to fight vandlism and long-term-abuse. I'm also a rollbacker in 4 wikiprojects. I think it's the time to requests for global rollback. And I have read the guidelines of global rollback. Regards, --Wright Streetdeck 10:58, 19 May 2020 (UTC)

- Support Slightly weak one, while I see the index is a little high (0.76, I usually prefer 0.72) and the reverts are not that much, 76 projects with 1 revert or more, and 15 or so with 5 reverts or more is a little low. I will also note some of the reverts are done in edit warring with LTAs which isn't appropriate. There are a few projects that they can ask local rollback rights too. Having said that, I am confident that they will learn on the job and are trusted in several projects. I spot checked several projects and find their reverts accurate too. I will give a cautious support but will caution them to take this tool absolutely slowly as there can be some more subtle changes that seems vandalism but not vandalism. I also know them personally and find them a good Wikimedian in general, this is what lean me to support rather than neutral. Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 11:18, 19 May 2020 (UTC)

Global rollback for Naleksuh
- Global user: Naleksuh (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA)
- Not ending before 29 May 2020 21:36 UTC
Hello, I am requesting Global Rollback as I currently reverting vandalism and LTAs across a string of multiple different wikis, and am currently a strong target for LTAs as the crafter of certain scripts and owner of LTA Wiki (private). See for example, this most recent attack on WikiSpecies, where I was being targetted and nothing to do but undo, until a steward later intervened. I would like to request global rollback to avoid requesting under every wiki and / or being a strong target in wikis I have never edited before. I do note the above of frowning on edit warring with LTAs in petty situations like talk pages, it's something I've done before but have stopped. I do believe in reverting without mercy in mainspace pages or any other high-traffic page (such as w:Project:Vandalism and such). Please consider this request carefully, and let me know if you have any questions. Naleksuh (talk) 21:36, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose let me start off by saying that you for your counter-vandalism work. However, you registered your account in march of this year, and outside of the wikis where you have rollback, I see the following undos:
- 1 on urwiki
- a number of wikispecies, all on the same day for one vandal
- three here on meta
- 13 on enwiki
- Local rollback can be obtained on both enwiki and meta. In short, I'm not seeing a need for global rollback rights at this time. I suggest reapplying in the future after spending more time on cross-wiki counter vandalism. Thanks, --DannyS712 (talk) 23:03, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
- Too little experience using revert xwiki for rollback at the moment. Please get more experience reverting across language barriers. Most successful candidates can demonstrate both a width of experience (across multiple projects, usually at least 20+) and depth (many reverts overall). – Ajraddatz (talk) 23:21, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Ajraddatz: This is worded like an oppose, but your edit summary is "c" which stands for Comment. Can you clarify your view here? Naleksuh (talk) 23:41, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
- I think my comment is very clear. These are consensus-building exercises, not straight votes, and I prefer to raise concerns without an oppose "vote" because I appreciate that you are a volunteer and offering to help out here. That said, I think you should get more experience before getting for these rights. Regards, – Ajraddatz (talk) 00:34, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
- Ah, thanks for clarifying. While I'm aware consensus is not the same as voting (if it was, then not putting Support or Oppose would void what you said entirely), however, your feedback has been appreciated. I am currently working into ways to expand into many different projects, both by editing them and by stuff I create covering any project. Naleksuh (talk) 01:11, 25 May 2020 (UTC)

- Oppose Not enough experience for a global permission. As was stated before, you have only been around for two and a half months. Also, edit warring on simple.wiki[1] was warned for it[2]. Although, you have stated that you have stopped edit warring and the referenced action has not been repeated. As for reverting LTAs and other blatant vandals on wikis where you do not have rollback, you could always use Twinkle's rollback feature. It's not as fast as regular rollback, but it is faster then undo. In short, WP:NOTQUITEYET. Don't let this discourage you from making a request in the future though. I have seen your antivandalism work, and while I am impressed, especially by your quick responses to LTA attacks, I just think you need more experience reverting vandalism across multiple wikis. 207.157.220.8 01:50, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose. I appreciate your work on simple and all, but I'm not seeing a satisfactory enough level of activity or experience for a global role quite yet. Hiàn (talk) 01:54, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
- Neutral Normally I would drive by strong support for global rollbacker request, but in this case, I'm seeing some convincing arguments by the opposes. If you really want to become a global rollbacker, just use Global Twinkle. 101 global rollbackers with it. Can I Log In (talk) 05:44, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Can I Log In: GR have more access than the Global TW and please don't drive by support for GR, this can be problematic at times although being a sunshine supporter isn't really bad. . Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 08:01, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
- It's only one technical difference. Using Huggle on enwiki requiring generic rollback. That's it. GR and Global TW both can do rollback. What am I missing? Can I Log In (talk) 16:25, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Can I Log In: Not entirely true, GRs have supressredirect, markbotedits and other rights. Minor yes but the threshold of trust needs to be higher than generic TW Global as such rights if used incorrectly, although can be easily reverted, can cause disruption. I won't go through how each can be abused per BEANS. Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 16:30, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
- Well when you look deep, there's
- View detailed abuse log entries (abusefilter-log-detail)
- Not be affected by IP-based rate limits (autoconfirmed)
- Have one's own edits automatically marked as patrolled (autopatrol)
- Auto-review on rollback (autoreviewrestore)
- Edit pages protected as "Allow only autoconfirmed users" (editsemiprotected)
- Mark rolled-back edits as bot edits (markbotedits)
- Move pages (move)
- Move pages with stable versions (movestable)
- Not be affected by rate limits (noratelimit)
- Quickly rollback the edits of the last user who edited a particular page (rollback)
- Perform CAPTCHA-triggering actions without having to go through the CAPTCHA (skipcaptcha)
- Not create redirects from source pages when moving pages (suppressredirect)
- So you pretty much become a global rollbacker AND (auto)confirmed user. And in addition, 5 non-rollback and (auto)confirmed user rights. The more you know. Can I Log In (talk) 16:45, 25 May 2020 (UTC)

- Oppose On simple they have had a propensity to revert war with editors. While removing vandalism is necessary, doing so 5+ times in a row seconds apart is not necessarily helpful, just step away and get an admin to help block the account. Revert warring in that manor just encourages them to continue. But really as most of the others have said the main issue is lack of x-wiki experience. -Djsasso (talk) 12:05, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
