This page hosts requests for global permissions. To make a request, read the relevant policy (global rollback , global sysop , global rename , …) and make a request below. Explain why membership is needed for that group, and detail prior experience or qualifications.

This is not a vote and any active Wikimedia editor may participate in the discussion.

Global rollback and global interface editor requests require no fewer than 5 days of discussion while abuse filter helper and maintainer requests require no fewer than 7 days. Global renamer and global sysop requests require no fewer than 2 weeks of discussion. For requests that are unlikely to pass under any circumstances, they may be closed by a steward without further discussion (after a reasonable amount of input).

The request will be approved if consensus to do so exists after a period of consideration of no less than 5 days (with rare exceptions , no matter how obvious the result may seem). This is not a vote, and all input is welcome. Hi,
I fight and revert cross-wiki vandalism, both as part of SWMT and randomly (= xwiki vandals I encounter when they pop-in the local projects I'm active in, as well as Wikiproject:Antispam, and somtimes even requests submitted on SR/G by anothers and still need help to be reverted).
Currently I can rollback only in some of the local projects I'm active in (HeWiki, Commons), and the permission will allow me to operate easily (and with similar efficient speed) in others as well.
I know the policy and have read it carefully. If the permission is granted, I will make sure to use it carefully in clear cases of vandalism. In any other case I will continue to use the undo button or TwinkleGlobal, as usual.

While all input is welcome, there is a hard 80% support requirement for this role as per the global renamer policy.

The request will be approved if there is demonstrated need for the permission, such as bypassing a global block from someone who is not the intended target.

Global IP block exempt for Huggums537

Hello. I was finally granted the exemption on my local enWiki, and I had also previously requested here, but the request here went dormant due to the long backlog at my local Wiki. My request here was dependent on getting approval on my local Wiki. I'm resubmitting my request here on the same premise as the previous request. Thanks. I noticed this hasn't been answered in a very long while. Am I not allowed to make a new request based on a previous request by simply linking to the previous request if nothing has changed? Is there an update on this? UTRS has seen no changes yet AmandaNP apparently tried to change blocks of the relevant IP range. https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:GlobalBlockList?ip=154.49.0.0%2F16

For context: The IP range of a /16 subnet was moved to a German ISP blocking every customer that receives an IP from this subnet.

Global IP block exempt for Dustfreeworld

Hi there just a bit more information. I don’t have broadband access at home and I mostly edit on mobile (4G). I don’t use proxies. There might be once or twice that I forgot to log in and edited as IPs, but all other edits were made as a logged-in user.
And now that I can’t edit anymore (except here at meta), should I try using public Wi-Fi? Would that affect my request here? That’s very inconvenient anyway, because I’m not sure which public wifi would work, and that means I can’t edit at home…

Because of using VPN, many times when I access projects I cannot edit them (Except for Vietnamese Wikipedia).
