Hello HakanIST, I am writing to you in regard of a guy that he is an administrative in a Wikipedia page. This particular person keeps deleting things without mentioning a link or proof. The page that I am referring to is the greek version of Skanderbeg. If you notice the English version is completely different from the Greek one. This particular person keeps insisting that his mother was Serbian but there's no proof of her being Serbian even the English version says that. I am beginning you to check it out because he has blocked people in editing it.

Hello, @Ah3kal: ,rationale for s:tr:Atatürk Şiiri is 'it's not poem' apparently that page is partly copied from s:tr:Atatürk'ün Türk Gençliğine Hitabesi and wrongly named, rationale for s:tr:Hasan başusta is that it's not notable, that page appears to be promotional. Dear Hakan! How can we stop Erdemaslancan? He ruines the whole Zazaki project. Under various aliases he keeps trying. He is not a native speaker of Zazaki, as he claims it. He can neither southern nor northern dialect of Zazaki. His knowledges are about equal to zero. In addition he still insultes us (annelerimize küfrediyor) every time. We specifically opted out of Global Sysops

Hello, we specifically opted OUT of global sysops years ago because we are not a small wiki and we don't want non-Amharic speakers who cannot even understand Amharic throwing their "weight" around. So how is it that u\you, a member of the "small wiki " team, got the ability to do just that? Cascade Protection in Turkish Wikinews

I made a request to an administrator at wikimedia for unblocking of my account since i use vpn because of the blocking of wikipedias and wikimedia in Turkey. I told the administrator to "unblock" my account in English and Turkish wikipedia since i used both, but the account was only unblocked in Turkish wikipedia. Wikimedia diversity - What happened at the conference and how to follow up

During the conference, we dedicated a full afternoon to discussing the strategic direction and what it means for the work on diversity in the Wikimedia movement. Compiling the outcomes of those conversations, we summarized the key problems and solutions identified, and we created a summary statement. But the conversation is far from over! We still need to hear from diversity ambassadors: (1) what does working for diversity mean at your local context?; (2) what are the needs that should be addressed; (3) what resources are relevant for these identified needs?

Hello HakanIST,I tell you my situation. I'm a novice editor on this platform and I usually work in es.wikiversity and others. Today, when making an edition, I got an IP blocking notice on the screen with the following characteristics: You do not have permission to modify this page, for the following reason: " Your IP address is in a range that has been blocked in all wikis.

HakanIST (meta.wikimedia.org) made the block. The given reason is Open proxy.

Start of blockade: 09:03 11 Jun 2017 Expiration of blockade: 19:43 May 9 2018 You can contact HakanIST to discuss the blockade. Your current IP address is 138.68.137.26, and the blocked range is 138.68.0.0/16. Include all the above details in any query you make about the subject. And I really do not know what to do in my case. I do not want to stop editing, but that blockade prevents me. You can check my CA and you will see that my editions are not about vandalism or other actions. I'll wait for an answer, Thanks Cethos (talk) 15:59, 1 January 2018 (UTC)

@Cethos: You were automatically IP blocked because you were using a globally hard-blocked IP address. The particular block also prevents logged-in users from editing. The IP you were using belongs to DigitalOcean, a web hosting provider, and the reason you were using that IP may be you were using proxy or VPN service. Looks like you are not affected by the block now, as you can leave messages on others' talk pages, so if you turn off the proxy/VPN you should be good to go. -★- PlyrStar93. _{→Message me. ←} 16:13, 1 January 2018 (UTC)

Power abuse, Defamation and baseless content problem by authorities of Turkish wikipedia.

Hi, it seems your mother tongue is Turkish. I am gonna contact you in English. I have a problem on Turkish wikipedia, all problems are reported to the bureaucrat of Turkish wikipedia but he is ignoring everything. I will cite the links and you may read them:

The problem is a patrol of Turkish wikipedia has defamated me (sözlü saldırıda bulundu) 3 times in a month. I have reported it right after the first time he has defamated me, Turkish bureaucrats did not do anything for almost a month. I insisted them to do something and today after insisting they have banned me for a week instead of banning the defamator. BOLD part of the content (başkan Carter'a Ankara'daki darbeyi haber verenin kendisi değil, başka bir diplomat olduğunu iddia etmiştir) is not found anywhere in the cited sources or anywhere else for that matter. They are refusing to amend it. There are other problems as well, they are denying me to do those steps as well without stating any reason to do so. They are giving misleading information in the wikipedia, I tried to amend it but they are preventing me via their power. Данные правки обсуждались в ТатВики, были подтверждены и другими админами, что участник (к тому же он неактивный админ) занимается Вандализмом. Tr-vikide Vito Genovese'nin (bürokrat-hizmetli-x-y...) üst üste hesap banlaması sorunum var. Şu ana kadar 3 hesap açtım, 1'i uygunsuz isim kullanımından, 2'si "kukla"dan süresiz yasaklı. Yönetimi gömdükçe geliyor "kukla" diyerek hesap kilitliyor bu şahıs.

1-"Vikicizermalı" ilk hesap, bunun yasaklı olması dert değil. Zaten amacına ulaştı o hesap az biraz. (kayıtları vardır incelersin istersen. bu hesabın olayla da pek alakası yok)

2-"Heleloyloy" ikinci hesap. Bununla yönetimin nereye şikayet edileceğine dair soru falan sordum. Bu şahıs "5 Vandalizm - 13" gibi bir süresiz yasak koydu. Bu hesabın yazılarına/yaptıklarına bakarak bana "vandalizm" ve "kukla" kurallarıyla nasıl bir alaka kurulduğunu açıklaması lazım birinin. (Hakaret ayrı konu, nezaketsizlik zaten benim işim)

3-"Heleloyloy2" üçüncü hesap. Bunu da en son halletmiş bu beceriksiz. Bu hesabın da kayıtları belli. Bu sefer vandalizm de yok sadece "kukla" Vito'ya göre. Heleloyloy ve Heleloyloy2 ile zaten ilk hesapla bağımı yazdım. Zaten bu hesapların açılma sebebi bu yönetimi şikayet etmek ilgilisine. Adam hem hesapları yasaklıyor hem yazdıklarımı siliyor. Gitmiş "Kıbrıs Cumhuriyeti"nde Heleloyloy2 ile yaptığım değişikliği bile "kukla" gerekçesiyle "geri almış". Normal bir konuda "kukla" işlemiyle alakası bile olmayan değişikliğe nasıl saldırıyor bu adam?

TR'nin yönetim zaafiyetlerini sayarak bitiremem burada, zaten her yazdığımda silindiğinden pek yazasım da yok buraya. Örnek açısından bunun sildiği [[1]] . Yani şimdi bu adam:

Hey, my account was block forever on Ukrainian wikipedia by user:Yakudza because he decided that I used open proxies. However, I have never used them. The real reason I was blocked is that I started a discussion in local teahouse about abusing of checkuser rights by one of the checkusers of Ukrainian wikipedia. And right after seral hours I was blocked. That is a direct violation of Wikipedia rules. I demand truth and justice. Collaboration with Growth team on tr.wiki

Hi HakanIST,

My name is Habib Mhenni, and I work as a Growth team ambassador in the Wikimedia Foundation. The Growth team works on a set of features to encourage newcomers to make edits.

As you are an experienced Wikimedian and you know a lot of aspects of your community, I am contacting you, to ask for collaboration with the team to deploy more features on Turkish Wikipedia.

You already have the Growth features, and it’s been going well! Features started in October 2020. We have 5,800 suggested edits from 1,300 users.

In the coming year, the Growth team wants to make sure that our work is a good fit for the MENA region. That includes Turkey!

Even though the features are already deployed there, we want to work with your community to try out new ideas in your wikis, even before they go to other wikis. We already do this in Arabic Wikipedia, and want to start doing it in Turkish. This involves: us posting ideas for feedback, asking some volunteers to help spread the word, and a willingness from your community to try out new ideas before they are fully proven.

Actually we have the “add a link” deployed in some wikis, do you want to try it? Our next feature is “add an image”, what do you think about deploying this new feature in tr.wiki?
