This page hosts requests for global permissions. To make a request, read the relevant policy (global rollback, global sysop, global rename, …) and make a request below. Explain why membership is needed for that group, and detail prior experience or qualifications.
This is not a vote and any active Wikimedia editor may participate in the discussion.
Successful global rollback requests require no fewer than 5 days of discussion, while successful global renamer and global sysop discussions require no fewer than 2 weeks.

Global rollback for Grind24

I'd like to apply for rollback. I've been an active member of the SWMT for some months;doing many reverts and taggings. The rollback tool is more efficient than manually undoing and twinkle so this would make it much easier to revert nonsense/spam edits. Plus there are still some wikis where I have to install my global.js so TW is not there when needed most and I think that rollback globally would help me do the job faster.Grind24 (talk) 21:16, 23 May 2015 (UTC)

•  Oppose For now, because by checking crosswiki edits I don't see that Grind is active on reverting vandalism or spam. I see however a lot of userpage creations which could be avoided by our new Global Userpage extension and some speedy deletion tagging, for which rollback is not required. comment: As far as I can see, there's hardly any reverts outside of Meta and English Wikipedia. Most of your activity has been content translations and welcoming users. Of course, there's that "issue" the others above have mentioned. I recommend using Twinkle across more wikis other than just the English ones. Tropicalkitty (talk) 09:18, 25 May 2015 (UTC)

  • Too few edits outside of the wiki that your account was created, not enough cross-wiki activity. User group situation is not as bad (yet) as some of our recent global rollback requests we've seen, but it's starting to become a bit concerning. The global CAPTCHA exemptions is really not needed in my opinion as they become waived pretty much when you reach autoconfirmed status on every wiki you regularly visit (although it's a bit higher on the eswiki with 50 edits, but very low on others).   I concur with Jianhui67 please also apply, we are running short of GS because many of them become steward on last election (lost 3 GS) and also 2 of them recently de-GS'd because of innactivity, in short period of time we already lost 5 GS.--AldNonymous^Bicara? 16:12, 26 May 2015 (UTC)

Hi all, I'm an active member on Vietnamese Wikipedia from 2009 and have a lot of cross-wiki experience. I service as a sysop on vi.wp, wi.wikt, outreach and some other Wikimania wiki, also an OTRS member and has an account on Foundation wiki. My homewiki has a ton of outstanding request for rename (vi:Wikipedia:Đổi tên người dùng), because we only have two global renamer and both are very busy with real-life now. I would like to help Vietnamese speaking users here and at local request pages, also for some languages which is my language (ja-4 and en-2). I'm not a bureaucrat anywhere but I believe I'm sufficiently familiar with the global policies, I have read all relevant rename policies.
