This page hosts requests for global permissions. To make a request, read the relevant policy (global rollback , global sysop , global rename , …) and make a request below. Explain why membership is needed for that group, and detail prior experience or qualifications.

This is not a vote and any active Wikimedia editor may participate in the discussion.

Global rollback and global interface editor requests require no fewer than 5 days of discussion while abuse filter helper and maintainer requests require no fewer than 7 days. Global renamer and global sysop requests require no fewer than 2 weeks of discussion. For requests that are unlikely to pass under any circumstances, they may be closed by a steward without further discussion (after a reasonable amount of input).

Requests for global rollback permissions

Please be sure to follow the instructions below:
Your request might be rejected if you don't follow the instructions, and not doing so would reflect poorly on your suitability.
Please also review the Global rollback policy.
Instructions for making a request

Before requesting, make sure that: You have sufficient activity to meet the requirements to be allocated the global rollback flag

To make a request
Copy the template below to the bottom of this section and explain of why you need the access and why you're suitable.
=== Global rollback for {{subst:u|{{subst:REVISIONUSER}}}} ===
{{sr-request
 |status    = <!-- don't change this line -->
 |domain    = global <!-- don't change this line -->
 |user name = {{subst:REVISIONUSER}} <!-- don't change this line unless you're nominating another user -->
}}
::''Not ending before {{subst:#time:j F Y H:i|+5 days}} UTC''

The request will be approved if consensus to do so exists after a period of consideration of no less than 5 days (with rare exceptions , no matter how obvious the result may seem). This is not a vote, and all input is welcome. Stewards will determine whether consensus exists; when doing so it is likely that the weight given to the input of those involved in cross-wiki work will be most influential.

Global rollback for OJJ

Not ending before 23 December 2016 13:35 UTC

I'm rollbacker on cswiki and skwiki and I sometimes reverting vandalism on enwiki and others; rollback is quicker than revert and a saving work. OJJ (talk) 13:35, 18 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support Support This user helps with fighting with vandalism at various project and rollback can save a few of seconds. Examples [1], [2], [3], [4]. --Martin Urbanec (talk) 13:57, 18 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose Oppose. Not enough cross-wiki activity. I suggest that you can join to SWMT, to help in reverts of vandalism in many wikis, especially in small-wiki work. Constant activity on many wikis in reverts is required for GR flag. Thanks for helping. --Ks-M9 [disc.] 15:23, 18 December 2016 (UTC).[reply]
    • @Ks-M9: I do not know, it was not just one of the options? Otherwise, I do not need globall rollback :) but I just thought that the saving work. :) --OJJ (talk) 15:51, 18 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
      • GR flag is used for reverting vandalism across many projects, this tool would be granted if an user must be demonstrably active in cross-wiki countervandalism or anti-spam activities and make heavy use of revert on many wikis, not only for "saving a work", I see that is an insufficient reason to justify the grant of global rollback. Please, re-apply if you are active in reverts in many wikis. --Ks-M9 [disc.] 17:26, 18 December 2016 (UTC).[reply]
  • If you want rollback rights on enwiki, please requests them on enwiki. Global rollback is for users who use rollback extensively on many wikis, e. g. as part of their work in the SWMT as outlined above by Ks-M9, not to circumvent certain local flag granting procedures. Kind regards, --Vogone (talk) 17:57, 18 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
    Note OJJ was denied enwiki rollback access ~2 months ago, but is welcome to reapply when they meet the guidelines. — xaosflux Talk 21:02, 19 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose Oppose Not enough experience reverting across language barriers yet. – Ajraddatz (talk) 21:27, 19 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Ajraddatz, Vogone, and Ks-M9: Rollback is not necessary. I've got a special gadget :). OJJ (talk) 11:54, 20 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Closing as withdrawn. Savhñ 12:47, 20 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Global sysop for Shriheeran

Not ending before 2 January 2017 09:29 UTC

Hi! I am from Srilanka and I would like to be a global sysop and want to serve globally--Shriheeran (talk) 09:31, 19 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose. Blocked on hawiki for abusing multiple accounts. --Steinsplitter (talk) 13:18, 19 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, Ks-M9 is correct. I recognized that it's not a Meta-community term but most experienced users who edit at en:wiki are familiar with it. Wikicology (talk) 21:55, 30 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Not done. Early closure because the request isn't succeeding based on the agreement between stewards that early closures of steward requests are acceptable when there's no gain for the candidate in keeping obviously-unsuccessful discussions running. —MarcoAurelio 15:36, 31 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Global sysop for Ladsgroup

Not ending before 14 January 2017 05:18 UTC

Hey, I've been admin in Persian Wikipedia for around eight years now, I'm also 'crat and member of supervisory committee (like ArbCom) there. Global renamer and also admin in Wikidata too. I need global sysop mostly to help other Persian Wikis. For example, recently I had to become admin temporarily in all other wikis to add several abuse filters to stop a vandal attacking Persian Wikipedia users in those wikis because those abuse filters was enough to stop him in Persian Wikipedia. I will also help out in any other case if there is the need. Amir (talk) 05:18, 31 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Global IP block exempt for Born4People

Hi, I am active globally dealing/focusing on counter-vandalism/spam, tagging pages for deletion and also reporting of sockpuppet as well lock needing account. However, I contribute via an anonymizing proxy such as Tor. So that to edit without any interruption, I'ld like to request for Global IP block exempt flag. Thanks, Born4People (talk) 15:15, 26 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
