Global rollback for Hamish
- Global user: Hamish (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA)
- Not ending before 18 May 2020 11:59 UTC
I've been monitoring global edits via SWViewer for a few months, I think I deserve this permission to help me do better. I am the sysop in both zhwiki and mediawiki.org, this makes me have a good understanding about the tool so I will use it properly. Regards, --Hamish 11:59, 13 May 2020 (UTC)
- Support clear use case. --Minorax (talk) 12:01, 13 May 2020 (UTC)
- Neutral I am bit confused actually, Cross wiki matrix shows good numbers but, most of their edits on various projects are file renames on commons (correct me if I am wrong!). They have made approximately 1500 edits in cross wiki work so they are familiar with overall work but, reverts on the project where they are not familiar with the language are lacking. Global rollbacker needs to identify vandalism beyond language barriers. So, though they have a good standing in their home projects and good intentions and need for the rights too. I am not much convince to support. Maybe some more time is needed? I might change my vote if someone points out that my observations are wrong. thanks and regards. -- QueerEcofeminist "cite! even if you fight"!!! [they/them/their] 15:15, 13 May 2020 (UTC)

- Support While I am with QueerEcofeminist for the point of GRename of files, I am confident they can use the tools properly. Just hope they can take it slow at areas they don't understand (i.e. languages they don't know or etc) and skip those they are not that sure in. I will typically expect slightly more crosswiki experiences from actual reverting but their overall knowledge of crosswiki work seems adequate via SRG and IRC requests and etc. Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 07:40, 14 May 2020 (UTC)

Hi, I'm an bn-wikibooks Admin and also contribute in others wiki project. There have no rename user, As a result, if someone wants to change the username, it is not possible to do so at the local level. I have been a trusted administrator on Wikibooks for 4th term as an administrator and interface administrator. I also try to contribute to other language projects including Wikipedia, Commons.-Shahadat Hossain (talk) 16:45, 15 May 2020 (UTC)

- Could you give an example of a user wanting their account renamed on bnwikibooks? Vermont (talk) 04:14, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
- Vermont Since Wikibooks does not have a renamer, users are encouraged to apply to Meta. Wikibooks has stopped accepting renaming applications on its project page. Please check bn wikibooks project page. If I get this right, it is possible to apply for name change in that project. I am also active in other projects, I can work on all those projects, such as Wikipedia, Wikivoyage, Commons and others. You can trust me as a loyal user. I also previously worked as an OTRS member. In addition, I was honored as the Asian Ambassador in 2019 in the Bengali Wikipedia project, see here.-Shahadat Hossain (talk) 06:01, 16 May 2020 (UTC)

Add abusefilter-helper for Supertoff
- Global user: Supertoff (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA)
I would like to understand the actions of private global filters and be able to help users who report false positives about them on frwiki. I am a sysop and an abusefilter editor on frwiki.
Thanks, Supertoff (talk) 13:56, 9 May 2020 (UTC)
- Not ending before 16 May 2020 13:56 UTC
- Question: Hi Supertoff, I could have a question for you: Could you describe the next script?
action = "edit" & !("bot" in user_groups | "sysop" in user_groups | user_name in page_title) & page_namespace = 2
- Nieuwsgierige Gebruiker (talk) 14:07, 9 May 2020 (UTC)
- I suggested Supertoff to do this request and I support it, because he is one of the most active users on the false positive reports page. frwiki is one of the biggest wikis where global filters are enabled and we get more and more reports related to global filters these days. Orlodrim (talk) 14:12, 9 May 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Nieuwsgierige Gebruiker. A test to see if I understand filters ? Ok (I already made some of french filters) : This script is to detect edit on "user's page" when done by user except bot, sysop and page owner. Right ? Supertoff (talk) 15:31, 9 May 2020 (UTC)
