This page hosts requests for global permissions. To make a request, read the relevant policy (global rollback , global sysop , global rename , …) and make a request below. Explain why membership is needed for that group, and detail prior experience or qualifications.

This is not a vote and any active Wikimedia editor may participate in the discussion.

Global rollback and global interface editor requests require no fewer than 5 days of discussion while abuse filter helper and maintainer requests require no fewer than 7 days. Global renamer and global sysop requests require no fewer than 2 weeks of discussion. For requests that are unlikely to pass under any circumstances, they may be closed by a steward without further discussion (after a reasonable amount of input).

Requests for global rollback permissions

Please be sure to follow the instructions below:
Your request might be rejected if you don't follow the instructions, and not doing so would reflect poorly on your suitability.
Please also review the Global rollback policy.
Instructions for making a request

Before requesting, make sure that: You have sufficient activity to meet the requirements to be allocated the global rollback flag

To make a request
Copy the template below to the bottom of this section and explain of why you need the access and why you're suitable.
=== Global rollback for {{subst:u|{{subst:REVISIONUSER}}}} ===
{{sr-request
 |status    = <!-- don't change this line -->
 |domain    = global <!-- don't change this line -->
 |user name = {{subst:REVISIONUSER}} <!-- don't change this line unless you're nominating another user -->
}}
::''Not ending before {{subst:#time:j F Y H:i|+5 days}} UTC''

The request will be approved if consensus to do so exists after a period of consideration of no less than 5 days (with rare exceptions , no matter how obvious the result may seem). This is not a vote, and all input is welcome. Stewards will determine whether consensus exists; when doing so it is likely that the weight given to the input of those involved in cross-wiki work will be most influential.

Global rollback for Renvoy

Not ending before 18 October 2021 13:40 UTC

Hello! I was here two months ago and was advised to return back later. Now I have 439 undo's in SWViewver (the real number, that includes other instruments is up to 500) in 151 wikis. Once again I ask for rights of global rollbacker to help me with countervandalism work.--Renvoy (talk) 13:40, 13 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Weak oppose I'm a little concerned when you do reverts like voy:fr:Special:Diff/493330 on fr.voy where rollback shouldn't be used. Usually, rollback shouldn't be used on touting, unless you're well known by the local community into knowing what's touting and what's not (in which most grollbackers who don't have much experience with voy often don't). But apart from that, I don't see any issues. SHB2000 (talk | contibs) 09:22, 14 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Although that edit was handled by @Omondi: a few minutes later, I'd prefer a little more experience. Others may feel free to disagree with me. SHB2000 (talk | contibs) 11:57, 14 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I understand your concerns but I explained my actions on talk page. Motivation for rollback was clear: user added unnecessary link. I admit that I should have been more cautious but, taking in account spammy name and machine translations, I decided to be bold that time. If this really concerns you, I promise, I will be more careful next time. --Renvoy (talk) 18:12, 14 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Renvoy: Given that you're now well aware of what happened there, I'm well and ready to Support Support. Thanks for volunteering :-). SHB2000 (talk | contibs) 09:22, 15 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Global rename for Vincent Vega

Not ending before 19 October 2021 15:21 UTC’'

Dear Wikimedians. I am Vincent Vega (former Chansey) from Trwiki. I am a local sysop and info-tr VRT volunteer. I am native Turkish speaker and en-3. According to list today we have 3 Turkish speaker (tr-N, tr-4 and tr-1) and I would like to assist them.

I am 7 y.o. in Wikimedia project, I contributed projects especially after 2016. When I create times from trwiki, I am trying to work crosswiki.

I am aware that lots of blockings happen in trwiki for inappropriate username selection, I would like to assist them and complete “block-rename-unblock” cycle myself, especially for Turkish spoken users. I believe I can handle and I have enough knowledge about Wikimedia renaming policy.

This is my second request, you can access first one (withdrawed) via this link. I am still standing behind my words.

Regards. Vincent Vega (talk) 15:21, 5 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I should have written more clearly. This is my fault SHB2000 sorry. There is no correlation between my x-wiki contributions and GR things. I meant "I usually contributing in my home wiki especially on sysop works, when I find free time I work x-wiki". I know for GR requests x-wiki works are valuable. I only mentioned that. Nothing more. Thanks for giving chance to explain. Vincent Vega (talk) 21:57, 5 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Otherwise, I see no issues so Support Support. SHB2000 (talk | contibs) 22:31, 5 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Global rename for Jeff G.

Not ending before 31 October 2021 20:09 UTC

Dear Wikimedians, I have been a global rollbacker for two years, and a VRT (formerly OTRS) permissions member for four years. I contribute to SRG frequently. I am familiar with, and I agree to abide by, global rename policy and global renamers policy. I have 487,800+ global contributions over the past 14+ years. -- Jeff G. ツ (please ping or talk to me) 20:09, 17 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Strong support Strong support despite failing an RfA on Commons five times for absolutely ridiculous reasons, Jeff G is still quite active x-wiki despite not being a sysop on a medium/large wiki and can easily be trusted. Thanks for volunteering :-) (or if I may use "ツ") SHB2000 (talk | contibs) 01:21, 18 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • I know your hardwork in crosswiki areas, and I personally trust you. My Question Question: is what rename area experience you have, and like which project you want to help out. Sorry Jeff but I hope you understand these are my regular questions to any non-admin who applies here. I don't think commons have a username change page so I cannot gauge your activity in rename - related areas without asking. Thanks for the willingness to help.
